Sole Mate: Janet Jackson's Burberry Shearling-Lined Aviator Boots
Now these are the kinds of accessories I need: a pair of Burberry Shearling-Lined Aviator Boots and a handsome man on my arm.
Janet Jackson hit the town in NYC with new boo, Wissam Al Mana, rocking my fave pair of boots from Burberry's Fall collection.
She paired them with a leather jacket, white t-shirt, ripped jeans and shades. Add her stunning haircut to the mix, and you've got the perfect casual, cool city look.
While Wissam is certainly easy on the eyes, the Burberry boots are even hotter. The boots are the perfect mix of refined and rugged. The smooth leather and designer-stamped gold buckles are feminine and sexy, while the shearling lining (a theme in Burberry's collection) and rubber tread give you all the edge you'll ever need.
Love how practical they are too; the shearling keeps your feet warm and the rubber tread is perfect for trekking through city streets. The 5 inch heel though is strictly for sex appeal.
Don't you just love them?

More Pics of Janet Jackson's Haircut! We're Officially Fans
The reactions vary. A few readers claim Janet Jackson's new haircut makes her look like the predator, some believe it ages her, others think it's fresh and gorgeous.
Now that I've seen it done up on the red carpet of the UK premiere of 'Why Did I Get Married Too?', I agree with the latter. She looks beautiful!
I haven't paid enough attention to how stunning Janet's facial features are. The cut frames her face perfectly, and she's never looked prettier if you ask me. Yes, she's aged but in the most graceful, refined way. And she'll always have that little sister charm, radiant glow and Jackson family magic no matter her age.

Janet disclosed that her cut is in preparation for her role in the upcoming movie 'For Coloured Girls.' The film adaptation of the Tony Award-nominated play for colored girls who have considered suicide when the rainbow is enuf will be directed by Tyler Perry and feature a Who's Who of Black Hollywood: Whoopi Goldberg, Phylicia Rashad, Kerry Washington, Mariah Carey, Loretta Devine, Kimberly Elise, Jurnee Smollett, Macy Gray and of course, Janet Jackson. Excited, yet?
I bet the highly-anticipated movie will deliver another arresting performance from Janet (I thought she was excellent in 'Why Did I Get Married Too?') and of course, the great Phylicia Rashad (If you've never seen Phylicia Rashad act in a play, you haven't lived. Her performances in A Raisin in the Sun, Gem of the Ocean AND Cat on a Hot Tin Roof all gave me chills.)
It's great to see Janet commit herself to developing her impressive acting talent, even shedding hair for the cause.
What do you guys think of Janet's "styled" cut? Are you a believer now? Are you excited to see 'For Colored Girls,' which begins filming in June?

GLAM OR SHAM?: Janet Jackson Cuts Off All Her Hair
Janet Jackson is not merely my idol, she's also a trendsetter when it comes to hair. From soft shoulder-length curls to a short red curly 'fro to dookie braids to long straight tresses, Janet Jackson has rocked it all. And everything always looks great on her.
Her latest style, however, may be the most shocking! She has cut all her hair off in a new, funky boy-short style a la Solange Knowles. She debuted it today in London via The YBF.
I have to see a better picture to give a full review but it does look like her hair is thinning out on the sides (ladies, weave can do that to you if tracks are pulling on your edges). In fact, Ferocia thinks Janet already had short hair and just got tired of the weave and took it out. Hilarious!
Here's a pic I snapped of Janet rocking a glorious weave in March at the Why Did I Get Married Too? premiere.
And as recently as early May, Janet rocked a Hightower Hair look to the MET Gala.
My take? Maybe she wanted a new look for her birthday that just passed (it was May 16th, two days before mine...okay, that was a "Stan" moment.) Whatever the reason, at the end of the day, she is a beautiful lady so if anyone can pull the boy short look off, it's Janet Jackson.
What do you think of her new cut? Is it flattering on her, or a hot mess? Glam or Sham?
