Heroin Chic

August 27th marks the one year anniversary of Corrine Day's death, and London is paying tribute. The Gimpel Fils gallery, Morel Books and the Whitechapel gallery all pay homage to legendary image creator. The Gimpel Fils gallery will be exhibiting her first solo exhibition since her death, Morel Books will be publishing 'Heaven is Real' showing much of her unpublished work from the late 80's and early 90's, whilst the Whitechapel Gallery will be screening Vorrine Day: Diary, 2002, and intimate documentary portrait. Day is credited with helping in launching the career of good friend Kate Moss, and at the same time accused of glamorising anorexia and drug abuse. Her work is daring and provocative, and it shall not be forgotten easily.

FIRST LOOK! Mulberry for Target (In Stores Tomorrow!)

Glamazons, your Fall wardrobe is not complete without a luxe, statement handbag. And now that my beloved bag line Mulberry has hit Target, you can buy delectable arm candy without breaking the bank.

Why do I love Mulberry so? It blends luxury and style with an eclectic, quirky English sensibility. The glamazing pieces have found fans in Alexa Chung (who has a handbag named after her), Mischa Barton, Kate Moss, Kate Bosworth, Scarlett Johansson and more.

Mirroring favorites from their eponymous collection like the Leopard Bayswater Bag and that adorable Lily Leopard Print Shoulder Bag, the Mulberry for Target line features leopard print, quilts and patent leather bags that are just gorgeous!

Mark my words - I will be making the pink leopard bag my everyday purse!

Check out the collection below, and tell me: will you be shopping the line when it his Target stores tomorrow, October 10th?

Don't you love it? Get more info on the line here.

Model Lara Stone Is A Triple Threat

Could Lara Stone slowly be morphing into the new Kate Moss? Because she just signed a high dollar, triple, exclusive deal with Calvin Klein, Inc.
The 27-year-old Dutch native will be the new face of Calvin Klein Collection, ck Calvin Klein and Calvin Klein Jeans for fall. (Above is an image of her from one of the new ads). This will mark the first time in eons that CK has chosen to use one model for all three of its brands. She began working with the fashion house in spring 2003.
"I have a long history with the Calvin Klein brand, and so it was wonderful to work with the house again this year," she told WWD. "It's like being part of a family."
Who knew that a gap in your teeth could be so lucrative?! I may not have the model figure, but I'm never closing up the tiny gap that I do have hahaha.

V Magazine To Feature Plus-Size Models on January Cover

Glamazons, isn't a beautiful thing when thin-obsessed fashion industry leaders start acknowledging the rest of the world?

Such is the case with Stephen Glan, editor-in-chief of V Magazine. In an effort to recognize beauties of all sizes, Glan is featuring a plus-size model on the January cover. "Big, little, pint-size, plus-size -- every body is beautiful. And this issue is out to prove it," he said via NYPost.com.

V Magazine, which has featured Kate Moss and Lady Gaga (below), will include beautiful plus-size supermodel, Crystal Renn and shoots by Terry Richardson and Karl Lagerfeld (in an attempt to clean up his comment about plus-size women, I suppose) in January's issue.

Though it will be a welcome change to see full-figured women featured prominently in a major fashion magazine, I have to point out that plus-size still starts at size 8 (and yes, that's illogical. baby steps) and I think using plus-size models regularly instead of just in a special issue will have more of an enduring impact on the industry.

As the January issue comes on the heels of V Magazine's controversial shoot featuring model, Sasha Pivovarova, in blackface only two months before, many believe the plus-size angle is a not-so-subtle attempt to clean up the magazine's image. Do you agree?

What do you think of V Magazine's effort to include women of all sizes? Will you buy the magazine? Do you think it's a great stride toward accepting plus-size women in Fashion?

Fall Trends! If I Were A Boy...

Hey Glamazons!

Women have always brought a smoldering sexiness to menswear, and this season's no different. The boyfriend blazer and the tuxedo jacket were all staples on the catwalk for the Fall season. The secret to wearing the look well is proportion; since you don't want to get lost in the fabric, pair the oversized menswear looks with fitted looks: pants, dresses and even skirts.

Leave the over-the-top menswear costume-y looks to the fashion divas, Rihanna and Chanel Iman (below).

This season's menswear sidesteps the three-piece suits and bowties, instead giving you two pieces to match with the more feminine looks in your wardrobe: (1) tuxedo jackets (2) boyfriend blazers.

Piece to Buy: The oversized men's blazer! It's so unbelievably versatile and when worn right, adds an effortless, unstudied sex appeal to any outfit. There are so many looks you can create with the blazer, let me count the ways: wear it with a sequined blouse, a black fringe cocktail dress, an oversized top and leggings, a white tank and skinny jeans, a black shirt and fitted pencil skirt, a bright pink sheath, the list goes on.

Piece To Buy: Unlike the oversized boyfriend blazer, the tuxedo jacket should be sleek and form-fitting. And since the satin lapels make it fancy, the full look should be dressed-up. Keep it feminine with a short dress, a racy corset or a pair of slim trousers. Add a red lip, layers of pearls and even lingerie (See Rihanna's amazing Balmain outfit above) for irresistible femininity and glamour.
