Obsess.

I have a slight obsession with shrines, and its not going away....I don't think my trip to Asia in the summer helped matters. However here are a few that have been inspiring me recently....

Devotion.

One of the things I find most inspiring is the concepts of shrines. In fact this idea, spurred the whole of my final collection at university. The idea of people worshiping a god/gods through this allegorical gateway, fascinates me. The style that each different religion adopts through it's shrines is something that could only be created with such a manner of adherence and devotion.

Spending the last few months in Asia, I have seen some kitsch and fun shrines, which had to be marvelled!
