A Single Man.

I went to see A Single Man the other day, I am always a little behind in going to see film releases and perhaps I prefer the smaller crowds, and the lack of a forced hype. Anyway, I loved this film, and I haven't thought that for a while, the cinema has been a series of disappointments recently, the biggest being Nine, (I still can't get over it!) such a drop when I throw all my excitement in front of a film. Colin Firth was brilliant, as his character George Falconer, an Englishman in LA, at times I forgot it was Firth playing the character as I was so lost in the film. It was an indulgent romantised visionary into life in America in the 1960's, almost like a moving Tom Ford advert in an editorial. Julianne Moore, I like and she was as good as playing a crazy drunk in this as she was in Boogie Nights. Nicholas Hoult pops up too with a believable American accent and a slight obsession for the lead character. A rich indulgent film, which all fashion followers should see.
