How much fun can one persons job be? Photographer Mariel Clayton has to be having a lot of it. Clayton is a doll photographer, but let your preconceptions of catalogue style photographs, dusty display cabinets and charmless doll houses edge away, Clayton is committed to chronicling the more sinister side of Barbie's perfect life. Self taught photographer Clayton's photos look like a days playtime gone wrong but when you look at every detail in each frame you can see how much work must have gone into them. Ken seems to be the victim of most of the images, with a variety of unfortunate roles but I absolutely love them. I will be tracking Clayton's future projects and laughing with them.
