Somewhere.

I love all of Sofia Coppola's films, and so was desperate to see Somewhere. I went to watch it on a lazy Christmas bank holiday, and I really relished it. It was typical Coppola, and why not? She has mastered the perfect bridge between art house and blockbusters. I also admire her (and maybe a little bit of jealousy) even more knowing she is Marc Jacob's muse.

Somewhere, is about a young, attractive famous actor , Johnny Marco, who can have anything he wants. His life is filming, promos, sex, parties and drink. Sounds blissfully fun, but his lifestyle leaves him feeling flat and with no purpose. When his 11 year old daughter is dropped on him unexpectedly he is left with a new perspective, and this touching story is portrayed beautifuly through Coppola's intimate directing.

Swim 2010.

American Apparel

In preparing for my travels I went swimwear shopping, I love buying bikinis. Fitting into various shapes and styles is not an issue for me, unlike some of my friends who struggle, and are forced into shops and styles they would rather not go into. I purchased in my first shop in H&M. Hot baby pink and bright royal blue stripes, with a rouch in the centre of the top, at £7.99 a piece I couldnt resist. I dont need bikinis I just adore them, i have millions, but the fact is you associate them with holiday, and your probably had the best time on holiday, so theres just too many good connotations attached! Here is what else I found whilst shopping...

Alexander McQueen's label has every intention of living on with the launch of a new product area ...men’s underwear collection, something he was working on before he died.

The AW10 collection features four ranges: basic, sleepwear, loungewear and fashion and will be available on the Alexander McQueen website and in stores internationally from June 2010. There are also plans to release an Alexander McQueen swimwear collection for summer 2011.

Jonathan Akeroyd, CEO of Alexander McQueen, said "We are very enthusiastic about this launch; the development of our menswear is a priority for us and expanding the diversity of products within that sector is mandatory. The underwear line places the brand in a new product and price category whilst maintaining our aesthetic, creativity and quality."
