Mariah Carey to Promote Her Collection on HSN Again Plus She Reveals Sex of Twins
Mommy-to-be Mariah Carey isn't letting her pregnancy slow her down. In fact, the expecting mother is gearing up to appear on HSN again on February 11th to promote The Mariah Carey Collection, which includes jewelry, shoes and perfume.
For her last appearance, she was the cutest pregnant lady on the studio couch with her feet up. This time, she gets an even more comfortable locale: her home. Makes sense as she's moving closer to the due date, and those twins can't be easy to carry around all day.
Speaking of the twins, Mariah announced she and Nick are having a boy and a girl (swoon!). How adorable! P.S. Everyone doubted them as a couple but I'm so thrilled for them. It seems like they're truly happy together and Nick's going to be the most fun, playful Dad to those kids. I love it!
Anyway, back to the collection. Of course, the jewelry is adorned with butterflies and admittedly, I'm not 100% crazy about that motif (though I loved The Butterfly album, lol).
What got my attention is the footwear---Mariah's known for her love of heels---and the gold platform sandals and fur-lined boots are fun and glamourous. She'll also be pushing her extensive collection of fragrances, Lollipop Bling, Forever, Luscious and M by Mariah Carey during her appearance.
Check out some pieces from the collection of perfume, jewelry and footwear that she'll be promoting on HSN below.
And here's a hilarious video mashup of MC's first appearance via Gawker.
LOL - everyone has to repeat themselves a hundred times when doing TV. We understand, Mariah!
Will you tune in to HSN on February 11th?

SHE'S BACK!!! Watch Mary J. Blige Tonight On HSN!

Hey Glamazons! I know we just gave you the scoop on Carol's Daughter with the Chrisette Michelle interview (isn't she the cutest?!), but I feel that it's my beauty duty to also let you know that Mary J. Blige will be back on HSN tonight. (Get excited!)
In case you've been hiding out on an island somewhere and don't know anything about this, Mary J. Blige collaborated with Carol's Daughter to create her own signature fragrance, My Life. In what some said is a crazy move (because how do you sell something no one can smell?!), she teamed up with the good folks down at HSN to sell My Life on television and the rest is history! Not only did she break records by selling more than 72,000 bottles (that's $3 million in sales!) but she also donated $1 from each sell to the nonprofit organization she shares with Steve Stoute called Foundation For The Advancement of Women Now (FFAWN).
Wowza! Luckily, I had the opportunity to fly down to HSN (it's located in Tampa, FL..that's a pic of Mary and I on-set above) interview and watch the songtress in action on-set. It was quite amazing!
Although I won't be on-set with her this time (insert sad face here) I did have the opportunity to sit and chat with Mary over lunch Tuesday afternoon about her fragrance, life and other fun stuff. She eagerly mentioned that this time around she will be selling My Life gift sets that will consist of the fragrance, body lotion and shower gel. She also plans to have a couple of surprise celeb call-ins (last time Oprah called in and I thought I was going to pass out..literally!)
Mary will kick off selling again today at midnight and continue segments into tomorrow (12/10) during the following times:
-1 a.m.
-12 p.m.
-2 p.m.
-4 p.m.
-9 p.m.
-10 p.m.
With every purchase made, $1 will be donated to FFAWN. Be sure to tune in and support Mary, Glamazons! I can't even begin to tell you what an amazing and inspirational woman she is! For more deets, visit the Carol's Daughter Facebook page.

Would you Wear...Clothing Designed by Mariah Carey?
You knew it was coming. Mariah Carey debuted Forever by Mariah Carey fragrance, and a clothing line is a logical next step, right?
The iconic, Grammy Award-winning singer is taking her designs to HSN, launching a brand entitled Mariah Designs.
As for pricing, the jewelry will range from $39-199, and the footwear from $69-170. Her limited-edition fragrance, Luscious Pink, will also be available.
While I'm pretty much obsessed with Mariah Carey's music from Emotions up to her last album, I have to admit her style philosophy has never been my favorite. From the glitter and butterflies (which take me to a parallel universe populated with Queens) to the spandex dresses clinging to her every curve, Mariah Carey falls short of a style icon.
If her collection looks anything like that, well, count me out. Would you shop Mariah's new clothing line? Is she the right choice to design for a brand? Discuss.

After Wearing Plastic to the Sex and the City II Premiere, Liza Minnelli Announces Clothing Line
Word of advice, Liza Minnelli: If you're planning on launching a clothing line, do not come to a premiere wrapped in a glittery garbage bag.
The sartorial offense was made worse by the exposure of Minnelli's bra underneath the plastic off-the-shoulder top. That bra is clearly not made for show, but it could've been worse. She could've went braless. (Did you lose your breakfast yet?)
And to add insult to injury, the whole reason Minnelli is even at the premiere is because of (what I hear is...) a horrible rendition of 'Single Ladies' in Sex and the City II during the gay wedding scene (the irony of Minnelli performing at a gay wedding after her own, well, gay wedding is not lost on me). Sigh.
And now for the kicker, ladies and gentleman. Liza Minnelli considers this a perfect time to try and tell you how to dress. The star is teaming up with HSN for a line of clothing and jewelry dubbed The Liza Collection via All Headline News.
The limited edition collection of apparel and jewelry is inspired by Liza's personal wardrobe and iconic looks. Expect sequins galore (some even show up on a $130 boyfriend blazer) and lots of diamonds.
Of her line, Minnelli says: "My life has provided me the ability to amass a wonderful wardrobe designed by fashion's brightest stars...I am excited to work with HSN in launching The Liza Collection and to have the opportunity to share my favorite looks with millions of women who want to look fabulous and feel their very best."
To buy your own sequins and bling, visit HSN.com and watch the debut on HSN starting June 30th at 10PM. Let's hope the garbage bag isn't included.

Mary J. Blige Creates A "Life" Fragrance

Named My Life [after her groundbreaking 1994 album; still one of her best, I'd say!], the fragrance will launch exclusively on HSN July 31 and will then be sold at Carol's Daughter. [No surprise there considering that Blige is a shareholder in the company, Carol's Daughter].
Turns out that Blige also had the inside scoop when it comes to fragrance creation with her family tie to Pamela Baxter, president and chief executive officer of LVMH Perfumes & Cosmetics North America. Baxter is married to the uncle of Blige's husband, Kendu Isaacs.
According to wwd.com, the scent's top notes are gardenia petals, Bartlette pear and white freesia; the heart is tuberose, blooming jasmine, gold lily and apricot flower and the drydown is cashmere woods, praline, sesame and incense. Blige admitted that she had no problem taking her time in creating the fragrance and was very adamant about being involved in the total process. Here's what she had to say about her new juice:
"It's a special tribute to us as women. My fans and I are smart now. We know we're smart now, but we didn't know it then. We know we're beautiful now, we didn't know it then. We're educated now, we didn't know it then. We're soft, we're edgy - we're all those things. And I wanted this perfume to represent every female's everyday life."

Now, if that's not empowering, I don't know what is! Blige also shared with WWD that she's currently taking French and acting classes in preparation for her acting debut as Nina Simone in the biopic film slated for 2012 release. She also plans to launch her own eyewear line this fall, Melodies by Mary J. Blige.
My Life, the fragrance, will retail for $46 and I personally can't wait to get my hands on this one!

A Day in the Life: Badgley Mischka for HSN Collection Events
The gorgeous line, American Glamour, by Badgley Mischka is back at HSN for its second collection. And what better way to celebrate the launch then an intimate event with journalists and the designers themselves?
Yes, yours truly, alongside a select crop of editors and bloggers, was invited to a round-table discussion and preview of the collection with the ubertalented designers behind Badgley Mischka. Amazing!
The designers, Mark Badgley and James Mischka, who I just adore, walked journalists through the collection, describing each luxurious piece.
Lauded for their exquisite gowns and sizzling swimwear, the designers don't sacrifice the quality or style of their work because of HSN's lower price point. That's what sets their collection apart from the myriad of designer and retail giant collaborations on the market.
I am always amazed by how much glamour and upscale sophistication Badgley Mischka brings to American Glamour for HSN---which sells for significantly less than their eponymous line.
Their second collection was no different. Spellbinding jeweled bracelets, luxe studded tote bags and nautical-inspired looks that are perfect for Spring were only some of the highlights.
Check out some pics I snapped of the collection, which ranges from $40-350 and is available now on www.hsn.com. What piece will you add to your Spring wardrobe?

To commemorate the second collection launch, designers Mark Badgley and James Mischka hosted a star-studded dinner at Bottino in Manhattan last Tuesday. Iman, Kelly Rutherford and Steve Stoute came out to show their support. Check pics below:

Diddy to Make his HSN Debut

Hey Glamazons!
Next Monday, the one-and-only Diddy is moving his platform from hit records to home shoppers. The newly 40-year old mogul, who has become a staple on VH1 and MTV, will make his debut on HSN on November 30th at 11am. He will be the first 'big name' ever to sell a fragrance on the increasingly popular shopping channel.
A bit risky, but if anyone can sell an audience a product they can't test for themselves, it's Diddy (we credit his Harlem roots!). He will promote his fragrances, Unforgivable and I Am King (which both smell great in my opinion) in an interview which, HSN CEO, Mindy Grossman, jokingly calls "Behind the Fragrance."
Glamazons, are you shocked by the collaboration?
I'm not. With the staggering sales celebrities like Serena Williams and Iman have enjoyed recently on HSN, it was only a matter of time before Diddy utilized the channel's promotional power.
Do you think he'll be successful at selling fragrances on TV?
I think viewers will love his signature charm and charisma and will put their dollars toward it. Diddy's always been better at selling products than artists, as evidenced by his recent troubles with Day 26, the latest act to split from Bad Boy.
Will you be tuning in on November 30th?

NEW! Badgley Mischka for HSN "American Glamour"

You loved IMAN's Global Chic collection and Serena William's Signature Statement line, but the next collaboration from HSN will blow your mind! Introducing: Badgley Mischka for HSN. Yes, legendary designers, Mark Badgley and James Mischka, are finally creating an affordable collection for a mass retailer. The dynamic duo boasts being one of the few design teams with several specialties: exquisite gowns, luxurious lingerie and to-die-for swimwear! With Badgley Mischka, the beauty is in the details, that are always elegant and dazzling.
The collection for HSN falls right in line with their luxe aesthetic. Fittingly titled, "American Glamour," the collection of shoes, jewelry, apparel and handbags, priced at $39-499, delivers red-carpet glamour to the American public. What's more? They will expand the line in March 2010.
Reality check: you won't be getting a signature Badgley Mischka gown for $500 bucks but the jewelry is absolutely spellbinding and at most, $160! I kid you not.
Check out the lovely styles below and let me know what you'll be buying when it launches November 17th with a 2-hour premiere special at 9PM EST.
AND one of the best parts of New York Fashion Week, in my opinion, is the Badgley Mischka presentation, which I had the privilege of attending this September alongside Kim Kardashian and Kelly Rowland. Check out my pics from the beautiful show below.
