FIRST LOOK: Beyonce's House of Dereon Temporary TEMPTU Tattoos

Happy Friday, Glamazons! So, remember that post that Coutura wrote awhile back about Beyonce and her rock-grunge-glam look from the House of Dereon Fall 2010 photo shoot? Well, besides the fact that she looks like an older, more sophisticated version of Rihanna, she's covered in tattoos! (All fake, of course, but still cool!) With that said, remember when she also told you that Beyonce was going to sell a line of temporary tats at Sephora?!
Now they're here! And how super smart of them to team up with one of my fave makeup brands, TEMPTU (have you tried their AIRbrushing Makeup System yet?! Genius!) to create these limited edition temporary tattoos.
According to Mama Knowles (i.e. Tina), the inspiration for the shoot was a "60's pin-up girl meets futuristic biker chick" and she and Beyonce invited TEMPTU to help them create custom body art to model with the fashions.
"The resulting images were so incredibly strong that we realized consumers might want to re-create the tattoos themselves," Tina said. "We are thrilled to to partner with TEMPTU to bring this limited edition collection of temporary tattoos to the market this holiday season."
Here's what they look like:

Each basic kit retails for $16 and is available for purchase right now at sephora.com, temptu.com and dereon.com! They'll hit Sephora shelves by November 1.
The kit includes: 8 Temporary Tattoo transfer sheets (2 each of 4 designs); 10 Tattoo application pads and 3 collectible kit designs featuring various shots of Beyonce from the Fall 2010 House of Dereon ad campaign.
For the hard-core Beyonce Stans out there, TEMPTU is offering the Tattoo Deluxe Kit. It costs $34 and will include: 500 tattoos; a collector's edition box housing all three kits; a signed Beyonce poster; and a chance to win a Golden Ticket.

What's this Golden Ticket business about you may ask?! Well, there are three of 'em hidden inside of the Deluxe Kits. If you happen to get one, you'll win:
-A trip for you and a friend to NYC for a Beyonce/Dereon-style temporary tattoo photoshoot at the TEMPTU studio
-Meet and greet with TEMPTU VP Global Artistry
-Visit to Sephora for AIRbrush Makeup System Demo
-Visit to Dereon office for a meet and greet with the team
-Dinner with TEMPTU and Dereon hosts
-Tickets to a Broadway show

Sounds like fun, right?! Hopefully it's going to be one of OUR readers that wins the Golden Ticket hahaha.
What do you think of these temporary tattoos, Glamazons? Is it something that you'd wear? I'm personally digging the spine tattoo on the left..perhaps something that I could throw on for Halloween? (Since I still so obvs don't have a costume yet..ugh...)

Beyonce's New Dereon Bedding Line Features Sequins, Studs and Even Mirrors

This just in! Now you can watch Beyonce's videos while wearing Beyonce clothes and spraying Beyonce perfume in Beyonce-designed bedding! Woohoo!

The Dereon and House of Dereon brands have expanded, like Mama Tina promised, to include bedding: sheets, comforters, pillows, shams and coverlets to be exact via WWD. But this isn't your average bedding. It is completely Beyonce-ified.

Expect bedding with such glamorous flourishes as bold colors, sequins, studs and mirrors. Yes, mirrors.

For all the Beyonce fans who can't wait to sleep the Sasha Fierce way, House of Dereon bedding will cost you $150-$200 while the more affordable Dereon bedding is priced at $50-$100.

Tina Knowles told WWD: "Both Beyonce and I are huge fans of home furnishings and try to stay on top of this ever-changing market."

I would love to see what their homes look like.

Oh and if that's not enough, Mama Tina reveals plans for towels and table top accessories down the line. I think Beyonce-inspired diapers, furniture, garbage bags, kitchen appliances and carpeting would be a logical next step.

But I have to say, with all the Dereon ventures, no one's had the idea yet for a lacefront wig line?

Kisses,

Coutura

GLAM OR SHAM?: Beyonce's New High-Fashion Ads for House of Dereon

A faraway location. A gorgeous, flowing dress. A striking hairstyle. Beyonce pulled out all the high-fashion stops for her latest ad campaign for House of Dereon

Shot against a volcano in Santorini, Greece, Beyonce wears a flowing, green watercolor halter dress and a fuschia mini strapless dress with a side ruffle.

I live for her pompadour, but the fit of the fuschia dress seems all wrong! House of Dereon isn't known for their construction, but to attempt an avante garde look, the fabric and fit of the garment must be immaculate.

The shots of her flowing green dress are stunning. The chiffon dress boasts embroidery around the neckline and a majestic watercolor print that mirrors the land. Just beautiful. P.S. As a dancer, I find her leap with the mountains and sea in the background beyond breathtaking.

She also posed in more casual, everyday clothes for the campaign, wearing a gray blazer flanked with studs and heavy metal chains. In her signature over-the-top fashion, Beyonce wore a studded bracelet, a short denim studded skirt, smoky eyes and a shaggy blonde bang to complete the look. I'm on board---especially since for Fall, gray is the new black. Ow!

What do you think of the new ads, Glamazons? Glam or a Sham?

Kisses,

Coutura

NEW! House of Dereon Launches Daywear

Hey Glamazons!

Does Beyonce ever take a break? (Aside from the perfect bikini bod shots and bodyguard scuffle in Croatia...lol). The superstar, along with Mom, Tina Knowles, announced the launch of a Spring 2010 daywear collection for House of Dereon today via WWD. The dresses, suits, jackets and jumpsuits are designed for the modern woman whose double-duty wardrobe takes her fashionably from work to dinner. Their first foray into work-appropriate clothing, House of Dereon daywear has a decidedly understated look in comparison to the glitter and glamour of their previous collections.

In my opinion, the clean lines and smart silhouettes mark tremendous growth as a designer for both Tina and Beyonce, whose original House of Dereon casual line left a lot to be desired (and unfortunately, the market sales reflected my sentiment). Tina expects the daywear line to sell better than its predecessor: "With strong trend-driven pieces, affordable prices, blends of sportiness and the strong dichotomy of Beyonce's viewpoints mixed with mine, the collection is sure to be impactful," she told WWD.

I'm inclined to think Beyonce could sell a brown paper bag and make it an impactful trend, given the power of her brand! Clearly, Tina agrees: the brand may be expanding to include a jewelry and shoe line. Exciting! I'm a huge fan of Dereon shoes and the shoes Solange and Beyonce wear always become my personal lust-haves.

For now, check out the daywear collection and let me know what you think. And if you love the modern yet timeless pieces, you can purchase them come Spring 2010 at high-end department stores. Are you impressed with the designs? Would you wear them or is Dereon more your style? Are you excited for possible jewelry and shoe lines from House of Dereon?

Kisses,

Coutura
