By now, we all know the elements of Amber Rose's style: a skin-tight, spandex dress, a visible bra and killer high heels.
Therefore, seeing the bald bombshell in a gown always comes as a surprise to me. Especially when it's yellow with tiered and flowing ruffles.
The gown is very "My Little House on the Prairie" which wouldn't be terrible if her ginormous, biker rose tattoo wasn't on full tacky display. The combination is jarring.
And the color combined with her platinum blonde hair washes her out so much even the pop of pink color on the lips doesn't help.
What do you think of this look, Glamazons? Formal GLAM or Ignorant SHAM?
Oh, and a lifetime supply of pink glitter to the person who can tell me why she was at the ESPY Awards in the first place? (Rumors that she's sleeping with Reggie Bush don't count...)
And for old times' sake, check out Terry Richardson'sphotos below of the head-licking lovebirds, Amber Rose and Kanye West. Cute, in a gross kind of way...
The beautiful R&B songstress' new look is giving me over-the-top, Diana Ross/Donna Summer glamour. To promote her latest album, new video ("Commander" featuring David Guetta) and single ("Grown Woman"), Kelly has been spotted out and about rocking big, curly, voluminous hair.
The show-stopping style begs to be noticed. It frames Miss Kelly's elegant facial features, while making a statement that's decidedly free, fearless and bold. It makes the inner diva in me want to put on some platform shoes and dance in the middle of the street to "I'm Coming Out" underneath a shower of pink glitter.
What do we think of her new look? Is it undeniably GLAM or a tacky SHAM? And check out her video for her hot single "Commander" below:
Does anyone remember Toni Braxton in the 90's? Stunning, sexy haircut. Leather jacket. Jeans. She was beautiful in the most confident, effortless way. (And wow, that self-titled album was incredible).
Fast-forward to 2010. The aging mother of two seems to be searching aggressively for her "groove" and from the looks of it, she'll never get it back.
She stunned viewers everywhere when she kissed Trey Songz at the Soul Train Awards. (Disclaimer: nothing's wrong with cougarism. I fully encourage it. Just making a case for Toni trying to get her groove back with a young, ripe thing).
And then, this. Pictured above. Toni Braxton went and got her hair done in a half-shaved mohawk a la Kelis, Cassie, LaLa and crew.
Followed by a search through Amber Rose's closet for a black halter catsuit with lace side panels! Sure she has an incredible body, especially after two sons. But lace, spandex, a mohawk and camel toe? Stop it. This needs prayer.
What do you think, Glamazons? Does Toni look fabulous? Or is she trying way too hard? Glam or Sham?
P.S. I AM thankful that she enlisted the Queens for her latest video, "Make My Heart." All my gay friends love it! But again, is that a sheer jumpsuit, Toni? No, no, no...
You can always depend on Katy Perry to inject a dose of rock-and-roll on the orange carpet. The wild starlet turned heads at the 2010 Kids' Choice Awards in a colorful barely-there frock by one of our favorite brands, The Blonds.
Katy showed off her amazing bod in the dress from their Fall 2010 collection, which looks pretty much like a corset with some fabric hanging over the bottom. The Blonds top, I mean, dress offers the kind of fabulous flourishes we expect from the brand: glitter, iridescent color and tons of stone gems.
Katy pairs her glamazing dress with equally sparkly Christian Louboutin Lady Lynch Zepa Strass heels.
What's the verdict, Glamazons? Is it fabulous or scandalous? And is scandalous a bad thing? Discuss.
The Kids' Choice Awards gives celebs a chance to take fun, lively fashion risks, and this year, Tyra Banks did just that.
The model turned mogul showed off her svelte figure in a bright form-fitting red knee-length sheath dress. In a daring fashion move, Banks added a pair of bold yellow pumps and a matching clutch to the ensemble.
She completed the look with a gold choker and sleek, shoulder-length highlighted hair.
What do we think of Tyra's bold color choices? Glam or a Sham?
Whether dressy or casual, Jada Pinkett Smith is a style icon on the red carpet. She wears looks that compliment her petite frame and highlight her perpetually glowing skin.
Last night's Kids' Choice Awards was no different. The gorgeous actress hit the orange carpet in a pair of bubble shorts that elongated her legs, a white blouse, layered necklaces (with a cross, also seen on Rihanna) and Givenchy sandals (previously spotted on Amerie, below).
Most interesting was her inverted braid high ponytail. Unique and utterly gorgeous on her, in my opinion.
What are your thoughts on her look, and that unique hairstyle? Glam or a Sham?
Zoe Saldana hit the 2010 Kids' Choice Awards wearing Spring's hottest trend: dressed up denim.
The gorgeous Avatar star ruled the orange carpet in a look that screamed casual luxury: an Isabel Marant cropped jacket, Nobody dark denim skinny jeans, L'Agence white tank and Christian Louboutin peeptoe pumps.
Her adorable pink clutch and berry lips added a much-needed dose of color.
What do you think of her casual chic ensemble? Glam or a Sham?
Do the fashion rules apply to Rihanna? I think not.
The uber-stylish star hit the 2010 Kids' Choice Awards in a 70's-inspired look. Rihanna wore a peach, sharp-shouldered chevron print dress by Christian Dior. She accessorized with a belt, layered necklaces and...nude Brian Atwood pumps with ankle socks?
Ever the fashion risktaker, Rihanna's sparkly socks and nude pumps push the envelope...but in a good way?
Put Zoe Saldana in a brown paper bag and she'll look beautiful. The It Girl actress has appeared on several magazines this month like Glamour and ESSENCE in everything from a sparkly minidress to a metallic tank. And she's looked gorg on every cover.
NYLON Magazine's April cover is no exception, and yet people have been tearing the cover apart. The funniest complaint is that it looks like an Urban Outfitters ad. I agree but there is something charming about Zoe in a casual, unfussy moment.
What do you think? Is it an Urban Outfitters knockoff? Is it a refreshing look for Zoe? Give your verdict: Glam or a Sham.
Sidenote: say what you want about the cover, but this article may be my favorite. Check out excerpts and go to Nylonmag.com for more.
On learning dance as a child: “That was the beginning of a beautiful fucking romance. That was my Xanax, let me tell you… it put all my demons in order.” On Hollywood casting: “When they say ‘We want to go white,’ they have a very smooth way of saying it, and the recent one is the word traditional. [I’ve heard] ‘Oh, you know, you’re just not what we were looking for, your skin is a little darker.’ Compared to what?! My skin is just my skin. It’s dark if you compare it to someone who’s lighter.”
On meeting James Cameron: “I’m thinking he probably imagined some Amazonian girl [for Neytiri] – I had really long hair at the time – wearing really little shit with like, a bow and arrow. I had no idea she was blue and nine feet tall. But for some reason, he was like, ‘You look so much like her!’”
This video gave me life. Directed by Lady Gaga and Jonas Akerlund, it was full of surprises: catfights in the yard, a diner full of Bey and Gaga's poisoned victims (hey, you have to kill your no-good boyfriend, Tyrese, AND the witnesses...love it!), a lesbian kiss, dance sequences in bikinis, Gaga's body parts and a glorious getaway in the Pussy Wagon.
And even with all that, the very best part of the video is Bey's bad word. Can you believe Lady Gaga got Beyonce (whom she affectionately calls 'Honey Bee') to curse? Even Bey was surprised at herself. I love it!
Check out the highly-anticipated 10-minute mini-movie below and tell me what you think! Naysayers say Bad Romance is better, or that the video is too violent, too lewd (i.e. lesbianism), etc.
My two cents: It's some kind of wonderful. Gaga is revolutionizing the current drab state of videos, the same way she did fashion. And I love her for it.
UPDATE: Stylist, Nicola Formichetti, gave Roc4Life the scoop on the designers behind the look. Check out the geniuses behind our fave pieces below and click here for the full list.

The big winner for her incredible role in Precious, Mo'Nique chose a blue, Grecian Tadashi Shoji dress for the 2010 Oscar's.
The elegant dress boasted criss-cross ruching (super-flattering!) and an asymmetric neckline. Mo'Nique completed the look with a white clutch, diamond jewelry and a white flower in her hair.
Not a fan. I thought the dress was safe, and the shape did little to flatter Mo'Nique. She could've benefited from a dress with an elaborate neckline (to fill out her bust) and gathered waist.
The long hemline though did spare us from another look at Mo'Nique's hairy legs. Sidenote: I can't begin to tell you how many people call me asking if The Magazine forgot to airbrush Monique's hairy legs. LOL. She doesn't shave her legs or underarms as a rule. Since I'm over trying to understand why, I'm going to move on to the bigger question: Why is her husband's bowtie upside down? Is that a fashion statement or were they rushing? Someone explain.
Anyway, I must say the color looked exquisite against Mo'Nique's glowing skin, though nothing can beat the glow of that gold Oscar!
Jennifer Lopez may not have appeared in a single movie nominated for an Oscar last night, but she nailed the role of Glamorous Ice Queen in an elaborate Armani Prive gown on the red carpet.
The sculptured gown included a fold at the bustine, gathered fabric at the hip and radiant sparkles all over. Subtle makeup and a messy bun complimented the look. Jewelry was simple and flattering with a diamond ring, bracelet and larger-than-life studs.
I'm on the fence. I love a Princess gown (too many Disney movies as a child) but many thought the dress looked like bubble wrap when she walked and was too similar to a wedding gown.
I think she's looks stunning. My only gripe? She could've used a tan as the white against her pale skin made her look somewhat washed out (see: Eva Mendes at the Golden Globes last year for the look done right). Oh and that brings me to another complaint. Haven't we seen this look before?
Sure, it's reminiscent of Eva, but it also resembled Amanda Seyfried who wore a gown by the same designer...on the same night. That can't be a good thing.
A faraway location. A gorgeous, flowing dress. A striking hairstyle. Beyonce pulled out all the high-fashion stops for her latest ad campaign for House of Dereon.
Shot against a volcano in Santorini, Greece, Beyonce wears a flowing, green watercolor halter dress and a fuschia mini strapless dress with a side ruffle.
I live for her pompadour, but the fit of the fuschia dress seems all wrong! House of Dereon isn't known for their construction, but to attempt an avante garde look, the fabric and fit of the garment must be immaculate.
The shots of her flowing green dress are stunning. The chiffon dress boasts embroidery around the neckline and a majestic watercolor print that mirrors the land. Just beautiful. P.S. As a dancer, I find her leap with the mountains and sea in the background beyond breathtaking.
She also posed in more casual, everyday clothes for the campaign, wearing a gray blazer flanked with studs and heavy metal chains. In her signature over-the-top fashion, Beyonce wore a studded bracelet, a short denim studded skirt, smoky eyes and a shaggy blonde bang to complete the look. I'm on board---especially since for Fall, gray is the new black. Ow!
What do you think of the new ads, Glamazons? Glam or a Sham?
It seems Rihanna and Beyonce left the Grammy's and headed straight back to work (do these girls ever really break?!). Both pop stars are gearing up for the release of videos for their latest singles: Rihanna's "Rude Boy" and Alicia Keys' "Put it in a Love Song" featuring Beyonce.
We can always expect some spectacular fashion in pop music videos to keep our eyes glued to the screen. While Rihanna takes a less high-end, more Jamaican street vibe in her "Rude Boy" video (she's giving me Eastern Parkway and I'm not mad about it), Alicia Keys plays dress up in Brazil in a gorgeous Boxing Kitten outfit and bold yellow sandals.
I LOVE the new look on Alicia; the vibrant colors are the perfect accent to the favelas in Brazil (Somebody take me there...tomorrow). Boxing Kittentweeted that Alicia is wearing the Billie top and Althea skirt.
I am a huge fan of the Boxing Kitten line, designed by Maya Lake, which mixes spirited African prints with demure Civil Rights era silhouettes. Celebs like Fergie and Solange just can't get enough of the gorgeous pieces, which are perfect for young, funky stars who love to stand out. Check out my profile of Boxing Kitten for POSHGLAM for more information on the brand.
P.S. Speaking of Solange, can't wait to see what Beyonce turns up in!
UPDATE: Beyonce kills the game in a Boxing Kitten jumpsuit! (Heading to the gym.)
Oh and Miss Rihanna in a white/black graphic jumpsuit on top of a zebra? Yeah, that's pretty amazing.
Not to mention her supersexy gold Nippies nipple covers from Bristols 6 (www.bristols6.com) that she rocks under a gold jumpsuit from new "It" designer, LaQuan Smith. I met LaQuan at a party in NYC and had to stop him because of some amazing studded leggings he was rocking. Ever since then, I've been hooked on his fierce, edgy one-of-a-kind style. Check out his website for more great pieces: http://laquansmith.com.
Check out pics from her "Rude Boy" shoot below and let me know what you think of the looks. Glam or a Sham?!
Since two days is way too long to wait for the debut of Rih's video on VEVO (insert sarcasm here), I included a short snippet that leaked on the internet today. Hauteness!
A pop of color goes a long way on the Grammys 2010 red carpet. With Rihanna in white Elie Saab, Beyonce in Stephanie Rolland nude and Ciara in Givenchy black, Mary's magical magenta Gucci gown brought some life and energy to the mix.
Her bold hue shined against her glowing brown skin and golden hair. Her subtle makeup and dazzling jewelry were the perfect accompaniments (I would've chosen a silver clutch over black though). But these aren't the best parts.
The body-skimming silhouette showed off a toned, curvaceous figure that put even the young celebs to shame (It certainly put me to shame. Heading to the gym after this post).
And the detailed neckline, a theme at the Grammys (see Rihanna's high neckline and Jennifer Lopez's halter neckline) gave the gown some interest with its purposefully-placed cut-outs. It highlighted Mary's pretty cleavage, toned shoulders and muscular arms in a way that was feminine and elegant. Love.
For her performance with David Foster and Andrea Bocelli as a tribute to Haiti, Mary J. Blige wore another stunning hue: a cobalt blue jersey gown with beaded detail from Roberto Cavalli's Pre-Spring 2010 collection. Color looks good on her.
Check out her performance via my beloved hip hop site, Rap Radar, below:
What do we think of Mary's boldly hued looks? Glam or a Sham?
It's nearly impossible to make Beyonce look less than beautiful.
That said, her Stephanie Rolland nude hip-hugging dress was pretty, but it didn't wow me. I appreciate that she shifted it into neutral with the nude hue, which is another huge trend.
The silhouette, however, was predictable (note: I'm guilty of the same thing; if it looks flattering on your body, embrace it!). The mermaid style gown is a Beyonce staple and I'm sure her stylist feels, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. True, but maybe switch it up every...I don't know...decade?
Also, don't hate me stans, I don't know how to feel about a zipper-front dress on a red carpet. It's a detail that has become a club staple; a glamorous fixture for a gown at a fancy awards show? Not so much.
I do adore the Egyptian theme (what's more stunning than an Egyptian queen) weaved into the texture of the gown and reinforced with Beyonce's bold, ornate hoops. Now, that's gorgeous.
On to the more interesting looks, Beyonce's performance dress (yes, I said dress, not leotard) was as electrifying as her rendition of Alanis Morissette's "You Oughta Know." Check the performance video below.
Nothing thrills me more than a darling silhouette (strapless dress with flared skirt bottom) created from rocker metal and studs. Well, Beyonce's "Dutty Wine" dance move---on her knees (!)---was also pretty exciting.
Love the studded peeptoe boots and tough luxe cuff too!
Later during the show, Beyonce changed into an embroidered, studded and jeweled dress with a plunging neckline and rising shoulders that would have made Micheal Jackson proud. (Seen here with Celine Dion, a part of the beautiful tribute to Michael).
After thoroughly enjoying the show with her husband, Jay-Z (whom she told 'I love you' while accepting an award), and nephew, Julez (who Uncle Jay brought onstage during his acceptance speech), Beyonce took home six Grammys, including Song of the Year for 'Single Ladies (Put a Ring On It)' and pop vocal performance of the year for 'Halo.'
Miss B set a record for most Grammy awards won by a female artist on one show. Now that's GLAM.
What's the verdict, Glamazons? Did we love the Stephanie Rolland dress? Did we expect more, or something fresh, from the Pop Queen? What do we think of her other looks? Glam or a Sham?
