Sole Mate: Leopard Print Shoes Starring Loeffler Randall's Fifi Boot

If you've been reading this blog, you know leopard print is my permanent obsession, whether it's "in style" or not. As you can see, I prefer to believe the print is timeless and eternally chic.

Fortunately for me, leopard print shoes are the current trend du jour and designers are churning shoes in cool, fresh silhouettes in the beloved pattern.

I've spotted Lala and Kim Kardashian rocking leopard print shoes in a totally non-matchy way to give their outfits lots of flair and pizazz.

I plan to fully embrace the new way of rocking the trend with the above glamazing shoes from Loeffler Randall: the 'Fifi' leopard print boots. J'die!

They are sleek, sexy ankle boots with a to-die-for sculptured cone heel. I looove! They embody comfort and modern style; the perfect boots for me to wear to work to give my outfit some ferocious, sex appeal. I need them in order to make it through Fashion Week!

What do you think of my new shoe crush? Aren't they drool-worthy? Are you in love too? Shop the fierce trend below.

Sole Mate: Rihanna Goes Rock and Roll in Alexander Wang’s Freja Lace Zipped Boot

Leave it to 25-year old, CFDA-nominated Alexander Wang to turn a motorcycle jacket into a bootie!

The Alexander Wang Freja Lace Zip Boot has all the makings of a cool leather jacket: layers, zippers, drawstring, metal studs and even a top that folds over like a collar. Oh and I can't forget the football-inspired lacing as the whole Spring 2010 collection seemed to pay homage to America's favorite sport!

It is the hottest tough luxe bootie on the market, retailing for a cool $675! And I'm dying to own it! The boot has just enough bad-girl attitude and sex appeal to glam up any look!

The hot shoe appears in the March 2010 issues of Elle, Vogue AND Harper's Bazaar. And of course, budding Fashion icon, Rihanna, rocked a pair with a gray sweatshirt top with shoulder pads, a pair of black shorts and some fierce red lips. I live!

What do you think of the shoes, Glamazons? Don't you love them?

Sole Mate: Jimmy Choo's Disco Sandals Light Up When You Dance

Remember partying at Studio 54?

Ok, neither do I but Jimmy Choo is channeling the golden era of disco ball lights, bell bottoms and platform shoes with his newest masterpiece: the Zap Sandal.

Similar to Nicholas Kirkwood's glow-in-the-dark shoes for Rodarte, the Jimmy Choo Zap Sandal lights up in the heel. But these sandals are a lot funkier---and they only light up when you boogie down (a la The Real Thing...loved that song!).

That's right! These sexy, strappy sandals with a red platform light up when you dance, making you the light and life of the party. Awesomeness!

It kind of feels like you're in Saturday Night Fever when the dance floor lights up with every step, only the party is in your heels.

How much does it cost to dance Jimmy Choo-style, you ask? A whopping $2,495. That's a lot of money for a party.

What do you think of these innovative sandals? Would you wear them?

Sole Mate: Glow in the Dark Heels by Nicholas Kirkwood for Rodarte

Nicholas Kirkwood's latest creative invention for Rodarte lets women light up the room with every step. His glow-in-the-dark heels made their debut on the runway at Rodarte's Fall 2010 presentation to glowing reviews.

Designed by the Shoe Master, Nicholas Kirkwood, these luminous masterpieces were the talk of the Rodarte show.

I can't get enough of the stunning heels because they remind me of a pair of sneakers I had as a child that lit up with a pink glow whenever I walked. Rodarte's heels are like a grown-up, high-fashion version.

And let's face it, they're a lot prettier to look at. The heels have Nicholas Kirkwood's signature, futuristic touch juxtaposed with the warmth of a cozy Rodarte knit.

When the lights dimmed, the models appeared as if fireflies had gathered at their heels.

What do you think, Glamazons? Are they odd or brilliant?

Sole Mate: Barbie and My Christian Louboutin Fringed Boots

Barbie stole my shoes.

But I still love her. And she didn't actually steal them.

While I bought my beloved beige fringe Louboutins at a sample sale, Christian Louboutin actually designed Barbie's for her.

As part of Christian Louboutin's collaboration with Mattel, the shoe God is designing a Barbie for every season! Last season saw the Cat Burglar Barbie complete with a sexy, black catsuit and leopard print knee-high boots. HOT!

This time around, Barbie goes safari chic in a khaki, collared tie-up dress, a gold chain belt, pink glasses and those incredible pink suede fringe boots. While the Christian Louboutin Barbie rocks hers with a khaki dress, I'm thinking I'll rock mine with a denim jumpsuit. (Check them out below. I love them more than I do some people...I know, that's wrong but I'm hopelessly addicted to Louboutins).

What do you think of the knee-length fringe Louboutin boots? Don't you just love them? (My roomie declares they're loud and crazy---in her words, something Mary J. Blige would wear---but I think they're AMAZING).

And as if Barbie didn't have enough already (impossibly tiny waist, long legs), the new Louboutin-designed doll comes with an armful of red-bottomed shoes, boxes and bags to mix and match with!

The must-have Louboutin-clad Barbie is available NOW at www.barbiecollector.com for $150. If you're a doll collector (like me) and Louboutin lover, look out for a third one debuting in May. (Will the May Barbie rock those fabu leopard and lace Bridget booties? Only time will tell).

Another Reason to Love DSW: Boots for Wider Calves

Hey Glamazons,

Have you ever fallen in love with a pair of fabulous knee-high boots only to realize you can't zip them up over your calves?

Since I have small feet and oddly huge calves, I've went through this scenario plenty of times and let me tell you, it's a heartbreaking, harrowing experience.

Everyone in the store is watching and laughing as you struggle, with both hands, to zip yourself into a pair of boots. When you are ultimately unsuccessful, your emotions turn from embarassment to frustration to anger. I mean, who are the boots even made for? Barbies?

Well, good news for every woman that's endured the angst of knee boots that won't zip up over your legs:

DSW has put together a selection of boots that fit wider calves. (Sidenote: DSW also happens to be my favorite shoe store, so much so that I avoid Union Square in an effort not to spend my rent money in one shopping trip.)

Its stylish assortment of boots, from Steve Madden to Bandolini, are made to accommodate women with wider calves and ensure a comfortable fit. Yes, ladies, our days of popping zippers and relegating ourselves to stretchy knee-high boots are officially OVER.

And in true DSW form, the shoes are affordable AND fashionable. Don't you see why I love that store?

Check out some of my favorites from the collection below and click here for more.

Madden Girl boots, $60.

Diba boots, $75.

Coconut boots, $140.

Bandolini boots, $80.
