GLAM OR SHAM?: Jennifer Lopez in Zuhair Murad at the 2011 Golden Globes
Few women move from sex kitten to demure goddess with as much ease as Jennifer Lopez. After giving us siren for New Year's Eve in metallic Herve Leger, the American Idol judge gave us angelic in a Zuhair Murad gown for the 2011 Golden Globes...a white silk chiffon sweetheart neckline draped front gown with crystal tulle capelet to be exact.
The singer, who has a new single coming out, complemented her ethereal dress with soft white and silver eyeshadow on her lids and killer lashes. The accessories gave even more sparkle with Christian Louboutin Marlena Strass pumps and a Swarovski clutch. A sleek ponytail kept the attention on the fashions. Gorg!
What do you think of her look, Glamazons? Glam or Sham?

AD GLAM: Rihanna's Ad for Reb'l Fleur, The Fragrance
The ad for Rihanna's new fragrance, Reb'l Fleur, is oozing with femininity and sex appeal but, as we reported last month, the scent leaves a lot to be desired.
In the ad, Rihanna is featured laying on pink furniture with a flower in hand and a head full of red curls. Naked save for a pink skirt and a pair of Christian Louboutin heels, Rih looks gorgeous in the soft, pale sunlight streaming in from the window.
The one aspect I didn't like? Rih's shown kicking up those gorgeous legs in a silly attempt to display the upside-down heel of her Loubis, you know, so you get that the bottle is an upside-down heel. LOL.
Ferocia thought the fragrance smelled cheap (click here for the notes) and some critics argue the ad looks cheap as well. What do you think about it? Glam or Sham?

Blake Lively: New Face of Chanel Mademoiselle Handbags + Blake's Hottest Fashion Moments
In addition to walking away with 40 Christian Louboutin shoes, Blake Lively is now living my second fashion dream: she's officially a Chanel darling. Which means, she is my (and Anna Wintour's) official new girl crush. (Yes I'm living vicariously and am unashamed.)
The Vogue covergirl and Gossip Girl star has been tapped to be the face of Chanel Mademoiselle handbags, as we predicted here on Glamazons. Appearing in April, the ads were shot by Karl Lagerfeld who lauded Lively for being "an American dream girl" with a "natural star quality." Totally.
Can't wait to see the ads! Tell us Glamazons, was Blake a good choice?
Here is a gallery of her "American dreamy" fashion moments.

Holiday Gift Guide 2010: 40 Gifts Any Woman Would Love
Have you heard the sentiment that Christmas is a holiday for kids? Yeah, me too and I don't buy it for one second. As a young woman living on her own, I get just as excited about the holiday as if I was 8 years-old and a bike was waiting for me under the tree. It's as good a time as any to treat yourself, or someone special, after saving, spending smart and sacrificing during the year (which I totally did except for that Lanvin X H&M sale hehe).
There are plenty of luxe gifts that will blow your Mom/BFF/sister's/girlfriend's mind on Christmas from Christian Louboutin pumps to Lanvin dresses to Agent Provocateur silk robes.
But if you're looking to cut costs, I suggest pairing a less expensive gift with an experience she can tie it to. For example, a Sephora by OPI nail polish set and a gift certificate to a swanky nail salon, a Rebecca Taylor faux fur coat and an off-Broadway play to wear it to, a pair of Ugg slippers and a massage at the Spa. Sounds great, right?
That's my wish list anyway (along with a puppy! Hey, a girl can dream, right?).
Shop my Christmas list of luxury and affordable gifts this season, and tell me your gift ideas in the comment section.

Christian Louboutin Sample Sale: A Day in the Life
I've sacrificed a lot for fashion this week. Like my Twitter bio reads, I'm a Fashion addict and sometimes that gets me in trouble. This week, however, it hit an all-time high. Let me start at the beginning.
I should be arrested for the way I stalked the Christian Louboutin PR girl for an 'in' at the super elite sample sale this year. I go every year, of course, but this year, I was especially in need of a pick-me-up as work has been more stressful than ever.
Enter Blake Lively.
I was less than thrilled to learn as I waited in line for three hours (where women who weren't on the list were shooed away like pigeons in Central Park) that Blake bought an entire rack's worth of shoes the day before (that's 40 in total by the way). And I bet you she was the same size as me: 7.5. I'm crying now.
Why does a celebrity need to even shop at a sample sale? Somebody, please explain. Especially one that's on the cover of Vogue every other month due to her bestie status with Queen Anna Wintour. Especially one that has a shoe named after her.
Aren't shoes, like, gifted to you, Blake? And aren't you rich? If so, please spare a 7.5 Louboutin for someone with an editor-in-the-middle-of-a-recession income? Sigh.
Still all that didn't stop me from waiting on line in Midtown from 10AM to 1PM (while women on the street came by and whispered they "would pay money to be [my] plus-one") until I finally got checked off the list and let inside.
People were begging to get inside saying they know so-and-so who knows the PR rep...one girl even tried to sneak on the elevator and got pulled out by security! Um, wow. Upstairs, there was a sane and organized display of shoe racks labeled with European sizes "37, 38" etc.
From experience, I know I have to go up a size in Christian Louboutin in order for my toes not to bleed at the end of a club night like Kim Kardashian's. I looked through every box in the 37, 38 and 39 sections and walked away with a pair of gold sandals I can wear regularly and a pair of white lace sandals for summer outings that were my little treat.
Check them out below:
I was happy with my purchases, and am generally very blessed that I can feed my addiction for Christian Louboutins at an affordable, bi-annual sample sale. But I will say, there totally needs to be a better selection in 7.5, or I need to come earlier in the week (with the really important people, i.e. Blake Lively). The Christian Louboutin Madame Butterfly Sandals or Christian Louboutin Toggle Boots were nowhere to be found.
My good friend who is a size 10 walked away with these babies---coveted sequined pumps perfect for the holiday---as her size had the best selection. Don't you love them?
Me finding a pair of shoes like that at a Christian Louboutin sale? Not likely. But at $100-$300 in price, I am happy to score a pair of sandals, period. Add Dr. Scholl's inserts for comfort, and I will be stepping out in these shoes everyday next summer.
What do you think of my purchases, Glamazons, and the down side of sample sales? Has anyone else had trouble finding their size at sample sales? Any horror stories, or amazing finds, you can share? And what do you think of celebs getting access to sample sales?
Discuss.

Ten Shoes that Could Have Been Saks Fifth Avenue's Sexiest Shoe of the Year
In the shoe news heard 'round the world, Saks Fifth Avenue named Christian Louboutin's Maralena shoe the sexiest shoe of the year.
Yes, I am obsessed with Christian Louboutin but the Maralena shoe is by far not the sexiest, in my opinion. This year turned out a parade of sultry sandals that make the Maralena shoe look like a pair of tennis shoes.
In no particular order, here are ten sexier shoes that rocked my world this year:
1. Brian Atwood Lola Booties
![]() | ||||||||
2. Azzedine Alaïa Lace Front Peeptoe Ankle Boots
3. Charlotte Olympia Suede Leaf Open Toe Boots
5. Raphael Young Boots
7. Yves Saint Laurent Cage Booties
8. Giuseppe Zanotti Designs Strappy Jewel Detail Sandals
9. Jimmy Choo Quito Snakeskin Booties
10. United Nude X Iris Van Herpen Shoes
What are yours? Do you agree that Christian Louboutin Maralena was the sexiest? Let's discuss.

Sole Mate: The Christian Louboutin Madame Butterfly Booties Lindsay Lohan Wore to Court
As you know, Lindsay Lohan's back in jail again, booked today at the Los Angeles County's Century Regional Detention Center after failing two drug tests. Sad!
But I have to say - when it's time to look like a demure sophisticated lady in court, Lindsay Lohan knows the shoes to choose (even if the outfit doesn't quite convince the judge...or any of us that she's cleaned up her act). The troubled star wore a pair of Christian Louboutin Madame Butterfly Booties which are $1,195. (Whoa at the price tag. I'll have to pick them up from my new online find, www.edoubletake.com that gives up to 75% off retail. Get into it!)
Bows can be very Easter-Sunday (read frilly, feminine and over-the-top) but the girly girl in me can't help but love these shoes! And as our reader Fashionably8 said, the leather gives them enough edge to balance out the girliness.
Too bad Lindsay couldn't wear them in jail, and they were brought out by mom, Dina Lohan, in a plastic bag. The shoes would get so much better treatment in my closet.
What do you think about Christian Louboutin's Madame Butterfly Booties? And please, don't take disdain for Lindsay's mishaps out on the shoes, lol. They're completely innocent.

GLAM OR SHAM?: Rihanna Mixes Polka Dot and Paisley
If anyone can take mismatched prints---namely, polka dot and paisley---and make them fashion-forward, it's Rihanna.
The style icon was spotted walking in L.A. with a straw fedora, chunky gold jewelry, a polka dot skirt and paisley tube top and some glamazing studded Louboutin shoes.
I love this look on her, it's funky, fun and fearless and isn't that what Fashion's all about? On me, however, it'd look too much like laundry day or like I got dressed in the dark.
While I respect Rihanna's bold style, others think she looks loud and tacky. What do you think? Glam or a Sham?

GLAM OR SHAM?: Kristin Davis is Pretty in Pink at the Sex and the City II Premiere
For the 'Sex and the City II' premiere, Kristin Davis wore a gown fit for a Park Avenue Princess. Her 1950's vintage couture Jean Desses gown brought vibrant color and sophisticated charm to the red carpet.
The pink silk chiffon gown hugged her curves with its ruching and draped fabric. Kristin paired it with Fred Leighton jewels, a Judith Leiber clutch and Christian Louboutin pumps.
In true Charlotte fashion, her hairstyle was sleek and elegant.
What do you think of Kristin's look? Glam or a Sham?

Christian Louboutin Wages Attack on Fake Louboutins Everywhere
Red-bottomed Christian Louboutin shoes are a staple on red carpets, music videos and fashionistas' closets everywhere. But it seems they've permeated the Counterfeit circuit as well.
While budget-conscious fashionistas like myself opt for sample sales, several are turning to websites and stores that sell fake Christian Louboutin shoes. And the designer is not happy about it.
He is fighting back with a "Stop Fake Louboutin" campaign with a newly launched website against counterfeiters. It includes a video (with a truck crushing hundreds of fake Louboutins) and a list of websites that are selling fake Louboutins alongside the status of actions being taken against them.
Whoa. Most designers, like Alexander McQueen, sue but Christian Louboutin has taken it to the next level.
But it could backfire. How? Well, I'm sure some viewers will just use the site to see where they can score fake Louboutins. Thus, Christian Louboutin will be inadvertently feeding the counterfeit frenzy he hopes to diffuse.
Will Christian Louboutin beat the counterfeiters and the shoe-crazy women looking for a discounted red-bottomed pump?
I have an idea that can help. A line for a retail giant, duh! Christian Louboutin for H&M, anyone?

Men's Fly Fashion: Christian Louboutin Men's Shoes Full Collection
When it comes to their Mens' Shoe collection, Christian Louboutin and Swizz Beats have teased us worse than a Catholic schoolgirl on prom night. From twitpics to sightings on Rihanna (hey girls can wear them too!), we've caught glimpses but never laid eyes on the full Christian Louboutin Mens' Shoe collection.
Finally, the wait is over (cue Rihanna). Scroll down for images of the shoes which range from $785-$1,500 via Upscale Hype. Yes, you're gonna have to pay big money for your feet to look this good.
Let us know what you think of the shoes - and which one, if any, you'd pick up. I LOVE those studded black shoes by the way.

GLAM OR SHAM?: Katy Perry in The Blonds at the 2010 Kids Choice Awards
You can always depend on Katy Perry to inject a dose of rock-and-roll on the orange carpet. The wild starlet turned heads at the 2010 Kids' Choice Awards in a colorful barely-there frock by one of our favorite brands, The Blonds.
Katy showed off her amazing bod in the dress from their Fall 2010 collection, which looks pretty much like a corset with some fabric hanging over the bottom. The Blonds top, I mean, dress offers the kind of fabulous flourishes we expect from the brand: glitter, iridescent color and tons of stone gems.
Katy pairs her glamazing dress with equally sparkly Christian Louboutin Lady Lynch Zepa Strass heels.
What's the verdict, Glamazons? Is it fabulous or scandalous? And is scandalous a bad thing? Discuss.

GLAM OR SHAM?: Keke Palmer in Adam Lippes at the 2010 Kids' Choice Awards
The Kids' Choice Awards is the perfect setting for fun fashion, and Keke Palmer proves it in her flirty, colorful minidress.
The nominee wore a fun, vibrant dress from Adam's Spring 2009 line. The v-neck minidress is encrusted with colorful stones that offer a bright, youthful vibe.
A fresh-faced Palmer paired the dress with Christian Louboutin's adorable lavender patent leather "Banana" pumps. Tres chic.
I adore a young, fashionable style star, and Keke always seems to get it right! What do you think of Keke's look? Glam or a Sham?

GLAM OR SHAM?: Zoe Saldana at the 2010 Kids' Choice Awards
Zoe Saldana hit the 2010 Kids' Choice Awards wearing Spring's hottest trend: dressed up denim.
The gorgeous Avatar star ruled the orange carpet in a look that screamed casual luxury: an Isabel Marant cropped jacket, Nobody dark denim skinny jeans, L'Agence white tank and Christian Louboutin peeptoe pumps.
Her adorable pink clutch and berry lips added a much-needed dose of color.
What do you think of her casual chic ensemble? Glam or a Sham?
