GLAM OR SHAM?: Christina Aguilera In Zuhair Murad At The 2011 Golden Globes

Hey Glamazons! So, before I pass judgement on Christina Aguilera (I did wonder what in the heck she was doing at the Golden Globes especially considering the fact that she's now dating a production assistant or something of the like) I must say that I love this gown! Designed by Zuhair Murad, it contains 3 of my favorite things in a dress: fitted, sheer black and bejeweled. However, I do have to give her a side eye because wasn't she like a practically non-existent size zero like a couple of months ago?! You know, some say she's pregnant again, but we aren't ones to gossip, so you didn't hear that from us hahaha.
And oh yes, she was there due to that hot mess of a film she made last year called Burlesque.
What do you think of her look here? Do you give it a GLAM or a SHAM?!

GLAM OR SHAM?: Kim Kardashian, Nicole Richie and Christina Aguillera at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art Gala

While the rest of us were shopping, doing laundry or hitting the beach yesterday, Hollywood luminaries were gathering for "Unmasking" a black-tie gala at The Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA).

The event took place Saturday night and several Glamazons were in attendance from Kim Kardashian to Nicole Richie. Christina Aguillera performed hits "Imagine," "You Lost Me," "Beautiful," and "Fighter," backed by a 20-piece orchestra. Would've killed to here her performance!

The gowns, admittedly, didn't impress me as much...except for Kim Kardashian's that is.

Nicole Richie chose a Marchesa tulle white and black gown with embroidery and ribbon detail. While I am obsessed with Marchesa's glorious ballerina-ready dresses, Nicole Richie's gown isn't the most flattering on her.

Christina Aguillera wore a silk chiffon champagne gown by Atelier Versace with a plunging neckline and gold bead detailing around the waist.

She wore red lips and platinum blonde curls. I am soo not a fan. The hair, boobage and champagne hue makes the dress look tacky to me.

Kim Kardashian stole the show in a one-shoulder, peach gown with draped gatherings along the waist. She wore her hair in an elegant updo. Stunning!

What do you think about these looks? Who was GLAM and who was a SHAM?

Kisses,

Red Carpet Showdown: Fashion Looks From the 2010 MTV Movie Awards (And Why It's Ok For Sandra Bullock To Kiss Women In Public)

Hey Glamazons! Ok, I'll have to be honest here when I say that I didn't actually watch the MTV Movie Awards last night...I tried, but the Law & Order SVU Co-Ed Marathon that was on USA was waaaaay more interesting to me. However, I did have fun checking out last night's red carpet images. Who do you think looked the best? And what did you think of that onstage kiss Sandra Bullock gave Scarlett Johansson while accepting the MTV Generation Award?! Scandalous, yes, but in light of all the crap Bullock has been through this year, I think she can do no wrong. (It also helped that she looked super hot in that black Oday Shakar dress and Louboutin pumps.)

Never one to shy away from color, Katy Perry wore a blue wig, a jewelled Zuhair Murad mini dress and neon yellow nails.

Here she is on stage with Snoop Dogg during her performance for new single "California Girls." I know I live in NYC, but I love this song...such a fun, infectious beat!

Later, she changed into this form fitting dress (and hot pink nails!) for the official MTV Movie Awards after party she hosted.
Christina Aguilera killed it on the red carpet in this black frock by Versace Atelier. Love the chain detailing on this number!

And I definitely think the ruby red lips and uber glam hair 'do work well for her, too.

Here she is being sexy onstage (ie performing) in a bejeweled leotard that came complete with a light up crotch..gross.

Audrina Patridge shimmers in a one-shouldered silver mini. The best part of her outfit? Why, the shoes of course!

Patridge's Giuseppe Zanotti heels are giving me LIFE! I'm officially in shoe lust over these....

Stephanie Pratt looked lean (and tan!) in this one-shouldered neon min and super straight blonde hair extensions.

Back to her roots (literally), 'The City's' Whitney Port opts to rock this beige and yellow fitted dress by Yigal. Is it just me, or does she look way skinnier than she has in previous photos? (Or maybe she was already this skinny and I never noticed?) Hmmmm....either way, I DO like the dress....

Cameron Diaz showed off her super hot gams in this cute Diane Von Furstenberg watercolour print dress.

The Hilton sisters (ie Paris and Nicky) rocked the cutest mini dresses! Paris wore a cream colored Blumarine dress (loved the feathered detailing) and Nicky wore a turquoise knit dress by Missoni (that I've decided I need to add to my summer wardrobe in order to live).

For once I can honestly say Lindsay Lohan looked pretty classy in this 1970's inspired ombre beaded Pamela Roland jumpsuit (which effectively covered her SCRAM bracelet). I also loved her beauty look.

As you know, I live for eyeliner and love how she paired her heavily lined eyes with a pale pink lip. Very 1970's chic!

Scarlett Johansson is just a gorgeous creature. I'm in love with her green Dolce and Gabbana emerald lace dress and that tousled, wavy hair looks amazing on her. So, we can't be too mad at Sandra Bullock for kissing her on the mouth, right?!

Usually awkward and weird, I'm glad to see actress Kristen Stewart actually strike a pose and look alive. Maybe she's finally starting to have fun with her fame, now? Or, it could be that she's feeling herself in this metallic and tweed minidress by Dolce & Gabbana.

Jessica Biel looks prep-school pretty in this Giambattista Valli dress that features a sheer, white polka dotted top, frilly black skirt and pink bow at the waist. Even prettier? Why her hair and makeup of course!

Biel's tresses look sleek yet slightly tousled and she keeps her makeup look by sticking to a fresh face and pretty pale pink lipgloss. I did think her dress was a bit busy, but her simple (yet fab!) hair and makeup enable her to pull of the look.

If someone called me right now and invited me to an all-white party for the summer, I would definitely wear this Jenny Packham dress Vanessa Hudgens rocked on the red carpet last night. Everything about it is right.

TOTAL SHAM: Christina Aguilera Cancels Summer 2010 Tour

Maybe the comparisons to Lady Gaga were getting to her? Or maybe it was just the fact that the single Not Myself Tonight from the upcoming album tanked? (It debuted on the charts at #23. ) Or maybe it's because people aren't buying tickets?
Whatever it is, Christina Aguilera cancelled her upcoming summer tour and moved it to 2011 citing that it was due to "prior commitments" she made to her upcoming film Burlesque. "The singer felt she needed more time to rehearse the show and with less than a month between the album release and tour dates this wasn't possible," Live Nation (the tour's promoter) released in a statement.
And after she talked all that smack about how she was going to "wow" fans on this tour. Tsk, tsk, Christina. She claims that she's just being herself, but I think she's just being extra. The girl's got amazing singing skills, so why can't she just sing? Why does she have to show herself crawling all over the floor in tight leather, kissing girls and grabbing her crotch every 2.5 seconds? (I'm referring to her recent music video for the single Not Myself Tonight. Click here to watch it.)
Not that I'm against artists expressing themselves, but this just looks tired and old on her. Not impressed. Yawn.

VIDEO GLAM: Christina Aguilera Channels "Human Nature" Madonna and Poses Nude for German GQ

Glamazons,

It wasn't until my gay boy toy came over and showed me Christina Aguilera's new video that I became fully aware of her new image which I've dubbed "S&M Mom." My bottom lip was on the floor for the entire video. Why all the over-the-top sexuality? Especially when you looked so cute and wholesome with Jordan and baby just months ago. Ironically, the song is called "Not Myself Tonight." Fitting, because I don't know who she is anymore.

See the video below.

Sure she's been "Dirty" before, but it seems Christina's crusade to be the New Madonna just kicked into overdrive. My speculation is a certain larger-than-life, insane star is responsible for that (Lady Gaga, anyone?). Christina has certainly been inspired (read: copied) Madonna before, but Gaga does Madonna best...my opinion.

Part of Christina's image overhaul includes the cover of German GQ Magazine (above) where she poses in nothing but black lipstick, Christian Louboutin knee-high boots and Gaspar gloves. (Sidenote: I need those boots to survive). I love the pose, but are we feeling her new image? Discuss.

Kisses,
