First Look!: K-Dash by Kim Kardashian for QVC

Like we warned you months ago, Kim Kardashian is launching a clothing line for QVC entitled K-Dash. Though the collection will make its official debut during Fashion's Night Out, Kim K. released some photos on her website.

Khloe and Kim Kardashian model the collection of fur vests, patterned frocks, leather jackets and leggings in a studio and on the streets of Los Angeles.

The collection doesn't wow me - I wonder whether Kim herself would actually wear these pieces, well, besides the tie-up Christian Louboutin's (which I also happen to own and looove).

But I think the line will do well. This is why: the collection is trendy (studs, leopard print, faux fur, etc.) which will appeal to the Kardashians' younger fans but the looks (like leggings and cowlneck sweaters) are classic wardrobe staples that older women will love.

What do you think of Kim's new collection?

Would you wear...Kim Kardashian's 'Curvy' Clothing Line for QVC?

The Kardashian sisters continue their Hollywood takeover with a fashion line for "curvy" women exclusively for QVC called K-Dash.

Note we've already been exposed to the Kardashians' fashion line with Bebe, and their swimwear line with Beach Bunny swimwear, among other things (Kim's perfume, bronzers, Perfect Skin, the list goes on...). Now, their "dream" has come true with their very own clothing line, where they have total control of the designs. Sigh.

Catering to curvy women (naturally), the line will make its debut during Fashion's Night Out on September 10th at the QVC pop-up shop.

Critics feel that as "socialites" or "business women," the Kardashians have no design experience and expertise; and shouldn't be able to design a line just because they're famous---and have a really unbelievably addictive reality show on E!.

My take? They do look stylish on the red carpet, though credit goes to Kim's stylist Monica for that (who also allegedly styles Lala to perfection). And like it or not, they have a powerful brand and a legion of fans who spend money on their every endeavor. Fashion is a business, and at the end of the day, revenue is the only thing that matters. If their name continues to sell, look forward to a ton of new clothing lines from the Kardashians.

Still, although I fully understand the business aspect of their clothing line, I have to ask: how many more fitted, ruched dresses does the world really need?

It still remains to see how hands on Kim, Khloe and Kourtney are, or if they will just be the face of the brand. Regardless, I'll save my opinion until Fashion's Night Out when can see the actual clothes.

What's your take on the Kardashian sisters starting their own clothing line? Would you wear their designs? Are you excited about it?

Discuss.

QVC Offers National Makeover Day (and Fashion Tips From Designer Bradley Bayou!)

Hey Glamazons! This just in: Thursday, May 20, QVC is teaming up with some of their amazing talent in-house to make over REAL woman live!

The makeover glam squad will include: Chaz Dean (he's worked with Alicia Keys and Charlize Theron); designer Bradley Bayou (Kelly Rutherford, Maria Menounos and Haylie Duff all love his ready-to-wear line); and Suze Orman.

Six women from across the U.S. will be flown into the QVC studios for this once in a lifetime opportunity. In addition, QVC will also be making a $250,000 donation to Dress For Success, an organization dedicated to providing disadvantaged women with professional attire, support and career developmental tools needed to help women thrive in work and life.

Bradley Bayou gave us an interview and here's what he had to say:

Glamazons: What is the goal of a makeover in Bradley’s words and why and how women should refresh their look?

Bradley:
The point of a makeover is to take a moment and honestly access your body type, make notes on how you should dress to balance your shape so that you accentuate your accesses and hide your flaws. The goal is to leave someone with confidence in how to dress to look their best and to up date their style, which will make them feel better about themselves and hopefully that will positively effect they way they interact with the world.

Why?: To stay current, current with the trends and in touch with your body shape and how clothing works on you.
How?: Use pieces, maybe even garments already in your closet, that reflect the trends. Everyone should give themselves a little mini make-overs periodically by checking in with how they use the clothing in their closet. Sometimes you can get in to a routine and wear the same things over and over again, it is important to reorganize every now and then to make sure you are utilizing all the garments in your closet and all your closet space efficiently
Glamazons: What are some of the summer trends you've been noticing and how do you make them work for you?

Bradley: Feminine floral prints and ruffles, shorts, military or utilitarian inspired pieces, nude and neutrals, dirty gold and metals, pop of neon colors and layered jewelry. You should always only wear trends that work for your body type - or work the trends to suit your body type. Add focal prints and color where you want to draw attention to keep the body balanced.

Glamazons: What are some slimming/flattering tips for warm weather clothes?

Bradley: First and foremost it is important to always balance your silhouette - no matter what season it is, so look for summer garments that will work with your figure and not against it. Remember accentuate your assets and hide your flaws - always!

Wearing one color or similar colors as tops and bottoms will give off the impression that you are taller then you are; therefore you will appear proportionately thinner in a monochromatic silhouette. Or if you can tolerate the heat, wearing black is always a good idea - because it is a slimming color and great at hiding flaws.

More and more people think wearing loose fitting clothes will help hide weight. This is just not the truth, loose fitting clothing sometimes adds more weight to your frame. Instead you should choose clothes that fit you well; you don't want anything to loose, but you also don't want anything to tight either!
