GLAM OR SHAM?: Khloe Kardasian and Lamar Odom Launch Unisex Fragrance [Commercial]

There's a new addition to the Kardashian family's tidal wave of business-savvy beauty ventures: Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom are launching a new fragrance called Unbreakable by Khloe and Lamar. The juice is the first-ever unisex celebrity fragrance. (So you and your boo could share bottle.)
Ferocia first heard about the scent in August at a Casio event where Lamar, the face of the G-Shock GX56 timepiece, first mentioned the fragrance.
Khloe announced the deets on her official Web site saying : “This project has been in the works for months now and we were involved every step of the way to make sure the fragrance was a true fusion of ourselves and our personalities. We’ve both been wearing it every day since its completion and I can’t stop smelling myself LOL. People literally stop me and ask what I’m wearing and the fact that I can say my own fragrance blows my mind!”
The optimist in me says “Aww how cute is that?” But the skeptic in me says “Another celebrity fragrance?! When will the madness stop?” Either way it's uber exciting to see the pivotal role that the beauty industry has on innovation and branding within pop culture.
There’s a fine line between genuine appreciation for creating a fragrance that you put your blood, sweat and tears into (maybe not literally like our girl  Gaga but you know what I mean) and just having your name plastered on the packaging for publicity.

Now, I’m not saying that these are Khloe and Lamar’s intentions---especially because Khloe said they were very hands-on with the creative process of the fragrance.

The scent will be available on February 12 exclusively at Perfumania. Khloe and Lamar will host a meet and greet at the Perfumania store in the Florida Mall. So, if you're in the Orlando area you should stop by.

Khloe's my favorite Kardashian and I like her and Lamar as a couple, so I'm looking forward to sampling the scent.

Are you feeling the whole tag-team collaboration between husband and wife? Will this fragrance be on your Valentine's Day gift list? Talk to me Glamazons!

Oh and check out the commercial for the fragrance...umm, I'm at a loss for words with this one so I'll let you critique: Glam or Silly Sham?

Magazine Glam: Khloe Kardashian's Edgy Shoot for YRB (Complete with Bondage Mask!)

Yes, that's Khloe Kardashian. Her newly-dyed red hair wasn't her only step out of her sisters' shadow (though apparently it's brunette again since E! wants a uniform look. Snore).

Before her rebel red days, Khloe did a shoot for YRB Magazine that is edgy, brash and daring and more in tune with her personality.

In a fiery red wig, Khloe showed off her own set of enviable curves in avante garde looks (sharp shoulders, weaved neck detail) and jaw-dropping accessories (studded shades, spiked heels, metallic gloves, the works!). Romantic materials like lace and tulle went dark and edgy when paired with sequin and studded pieces.

Khloe enjoyed the shoot so much she says it inspired her to go red: "This shoot was actually...behind my decision to dye my hair red. I had been considering it, but then the shoot went so well so I decided to go for it that day! I guess I was just in changing mood LOL," she wrote on her blog. Hmm...YRB done created a monster and got her in trouble with the folks at E!.

I'm impressed with this shoot though, specifically because she wore Mychael Knight's glamazing black lace leotard from the Fall 2010 collection via BeStylistik. Hot!

What do you think of this look on Khloe? Do you like the cover/spread?

Khloe Kardashian's Red Hair at the 2011 People's Choice Awards: GLAM OR SHAM?

Bored with your look? Go red! That's the color to try these days a la celebs like Rihanna, Estelle and Trina. Khloe is the latest to rock a crimson coif and she looks glamaazing!

The red wakes her up; her skin now looks bright, youthful and radiant. And, lest we forget, she was the only sister born blonde so a bright red with blonde highlights isn't so far-fetched. I think she needed a change to highlight her unique beauty.

What do you think, Glamazons? Glam or Sham?

And p.s. what a day in media whoredom it's been for her! Apparently, Khloe's also set to have a new reality show with hubby Lamar (is Mason next? or their random dog? that had his balls removed? I can't deal...)

Would you wear...A Fur Hat with Ears like Khloe Kardashian?

Sure the Kardashians have struck gold with their hit reality show, E!'s Keeping Up with the Kardashians, and their myriad beauty, fashion and lifestyle ventures. But does that give them the right to dress up like beasts (or let their tween fans overrun Prince Street)? My vote is No...

Kim made us all scratch our heads by wearing one bear sleeve at the Miami Heat and Nets game and now, sister Khloe is proving she won't be upstaged. She hit the town in not one, but two, furry hats complete with animal ears.

Nothing more luxurious than fur hats (faux for me) and to be sure, they keep you so warm in the bitter, blistering New York cold that you would think you were at home in flannels in front of the fireplace. But the ears are just so tacky, unnecessary, and Halloween-costume-ish. See?

I side-eyed but it seems these ear-hats are alll over the internet in leopard, wolf and cat styles. Complete with mittens and paw prints. Don't laugh, I'm serious.

But what do YOU think? Would you rock them? Tell us in the comments section!

Oh...and one thing I love about my readers: they think for themselves. So if you loove fur hats with ears, shop them below:

GLAM OR SHAM?: Kim Kardashian's Fur Sleeve

Leave it to Kim Kardashian to make a glamorous fashion statement at the most casual of settings: courtside at the Miami Heat vs. New Jersey Nets game to be exact (which is totally, by the way, where I should have been! My hometeam (Nets) and my favorite player (Lebron James), but I digress).

Sitting beside sister Khloe Kardashian and publicist Jonathan Cheban, Kim rocked a lavish single fur sleeve over a black turtleneck and skinny jeans. Not only was the fur sleeve too dressy for a basketball game, it was...well...a sleeve. If one sleeve of fur is a hot fashion trend, I've totally missed the memo.

I adore Kim's fashion sense, but this moment misses the mark for me. What do you think of her one-armed furry look at the Nets/Heat game? GLAM or SHAM?

First Look!: K-Dash by Kim Kardashian for QVC

Like we warned you months ago, Kim Kardashian is launching a clothing line for QVC entitled K-Dash. Though the collection will make its official debut during Fashion's Night Out, Kim K. released some photos on her website.

Khloe and Kim Kardashian model the collection of fur vests, patterned frocks, leather jackets and leggings in a studio and on the streets of Los Angeles.

The collection doesn't wow me - I wonder whether Kim herself would actually wear these pieces, well, besides the tie-up Christian Louboutin's (which I also happen to own and looove).

But I think the line will do well. This is why: the collection is trendy (studs, leopard print, faux fur, etc.) which will appeal to the Kardashians' younger fans but the looks (like leggings and cowlneck sweaters) are classic wardrobe staples that older women will love.

What do you think of Kim's new collection?

Casio "Shocks The World" With A New Roster of Celeb Ambassadors (And Cool New Watches, Too!)

Hey Glamazons! Last night I attended the Casio "Shock The World 2010" event and let me tell you: this is one brand that knows how to throw a party!!
The night started with the opportunity I was given to interview actor Bryan Greenberg (he's on HBO's 'How To Make It In America'..more on that in a bit). Side note: can I just say for the record that he is one cute guy?! Of course, he looked like he was lacking some serious sleep, but what person isn't nowadays? (Me included hahaha)
Then, all of the members of the media were invited into this huge room for the official Casio press conference. Except for the fact that I couldn't understand what the heck the most of the presenters from the brand were saying (they had really thick accents), it was cool to hear more about how the watches from the brand are created. Basically the brand hooked up with these brands to help them create some cool looking watches in the G-Shock and Baby-G collections: Alfie; Dee & Ricky; DGK; Hellz Bellz; In4Mation; and the Surfrider Foundation.
They also signed on a couple of celebs to be brand ambassadors of these collections.

L.A. Laker Lamar Odom (but we know him mostly as Khloe Kardashian's husband) is the face of the G-Shock GX56 timepiece. (He's wearing one of the watches above.) I didn't realize how tall he was until I saw him get up to the podium and wowza! That's a whole lotta man. The only thing I really heard him say was that he and Khloe were going to launch a unisex fragrance together called 'Unbreakable.' (Hmmm...could they be the next equivalency of the Beckhams?!) There have also been stories about them having their own television show swirling around, but he didn't say anything about that.
Ke$ha will be the brand ambassador and watch designer for the Baby-G line of women's watches. The first models from this collection are set to hit stores this summer and range in price from $79-$99.

Bryan Greenberg is set to show off the EDIFICE Black Label...mainly due to his his character Ben in 'How To Make It In America.' (Apparently Casio saw Ben as a perfect representation of their brand and dubbed the character as a man that's "going places." The watches in this collection range in price from $150-$500 and are meant to "take men from day to night, whether going to a sporting event or a night on the town" (according to the press release anyways).
During one point in the press conference, someone from the brand thought it'd be cool to throw some watches out to the audience..which he did. I almost caught one until I realized that I was about to get mauled by the guy behind me, so I let it go. The things people will do for some free stuff..smh.
After the press conference, we all went down to the main floor and drank special cocktails from Absolut Vodka and danced to tunes from DJ Cassidy. Ke$ha then took the stage for a special performance (I'm about to upload that onto GlamazonsBlog TV in a sec for those that wanna have a look) in which she blasted everyone in the audience with gold and silver pieces of confetti. It was pretty great because I totally dance around in my underwear every morning to her music and some of my friends were slightly shocked that I knew the words to all of her songs hahaha.
What do you think of Casio's choice of celebrity brand ambassadors?

GLAM OR SHAM?: Kim Kardashian's Swimwear Line Beach Bunny Hits the Runway in Miami

As we reported in April, Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian have set their sights on swimwear, with a new sexy line "Beach Bunny" designed in collaboration with Angela Chittenden. Well, the reality star's designs hit the runway for the second time (first was Bebe) recently to display the latest swimwear collection at the Raleigh hotel in Miami Beach.

And my verdict? Swimwear is their calling. It's sexy, flirty and wild, and isn't that the Kardashian sister wardrobe to a tee?

The silhouettes seductively skim the curves showing as much skin as possible without being completely naked. Well, unless Kim's in a magazine spread, that is.

In a nod to Kim's obsession with pin-up glamour (we all saw her fragrance ad), the swimsuit line featured shapes that would have suited the 50's siren or the modern-day dominatrix. The Miami or California beach girl could find a few staples there too in energetic bursts of colors and splashy prints.

While bikinis will never stray far, cut-out monokinis still seem to be the style du jour. Whether in dominatrix-inspired leather or beach-colored twisted straps, Beach Bunny offered plenty of one-pieces for the trendy crowd.

Still, the collection was defined by dangerous details like S&M strapped suits and lace tied around the eyes (yes, the eyes!) that seemed more suited for bedroom. Whip not included.

Check out the collection, modeled by such names as Jessica White and John Legend's girlfriend, Christine Teigen, and starlets like Selena Gomez sat in the front row.

And the fashionable front row...

What do you think of the styles? Glam or Sham?

Bronzed Beauties: The Kardashian Sisters Launch New Self-Tanner

Because, after all, you can't be on QuickTrim, dress in bathing suits from their swimwear collection or in their clothing line from BeBe without having a tan! Duh.
Kourtney, Kim and Khloe Kardashian have finally dropped the beauty news about their upcoming Kardashian Beauty Line (which we all knew was coming since the news debuted about them being the new faces for PerfectSkin; not to mention Kim's appearance at this year's CEW Beauty Awards) and the first product is none other than the Kardashian Glamour Tan Self-Tanning Gel.
The gel will retail for $34 and is sold exclusively at Sephora stores and sephora.com. Evidently the girls have done their homework because it's chock full of antioxidants and vitamins C, E and D. It also contains the exclusive ingredient Imudulin, which stimulates Vitamin D production for anti-aging effect that softens lines and crepiness. (Just to make sure that older woman know that they can use it, too, I'm sure!)
I'm itching to get my hands on the stuff to test it out for myself. Do you think it will be any good Glamazons?

GLAM OR SHAM?: Kim Kardashian's New Swimwear Line

You guys saw Kim Kardashian's line for Bebe. And many of you deemed it...underwhelming.

So why Kim took that as a sign to create another line, I have no clue. But alas, she has lent her name to a new collection of swimwear in collaboration with Beach Bunny Swimwear via People.com.

The sisters each designed two looks for the swimwear brand, opting for styles that flatter the curvy girl who spends her days tanning on South Beach in Miami. But that's where the similarities end. Kim went for skimpy bikinis, Khloe got fiesty with animal print and Kourtney chose suits with more support in the bust, given her new post-baby buxom body. I'm not mad at the styles, they're all flirty, chic and fun.

And besides, the beach is the perfect time to get a little provocative...so sexy swimwear and the Kardashians are a perfect match.

What do you think of the pieces, Glamazons? Glam or a Sham?

Kisses,

Coutura
