So Many Luxuries, So Little Time.....

Skincare brand DARPHIN wants you to know that $50 can go a long way when it comes to indulging yourself. In it's first ever big web campaign, the brand has created this site, www.50littleluxuries.com, in order to find out your favorite way to spend $50.
For every submission, DARPHIN will donate $2 to the Ideal Providence Farms to purchase school supplies for children in Ghana. On April 21, the most creative and realistic 50 ideas will win the new Hydraskin Essential and will become eligible to win a New York City Spa Getaway. The grand prize winner will be announced May 1 and the trip includes: round-trip transportation; a two night stay at The Surrey Hotel; two DARPHIN signature spa treatments at The Spa in The Surrey Hotel and dinner for two at Cafe Boulud.
I think this is a fabulous way to get the word out on some amazing new spring product launches. Here's the breakdown below:

Just in time for the upcoming summer months, this stuff is super hydrating yet light enough not to feel heavy or greasy on your skin; and did I mention that it smells amazing?!
Key ingredients include:
-Salicornia Herbacea: a natural thirst quencher that stimulates the activity of cell membrane proteins that enhance their ability to absorb water from the deep layers of the dermis to the core of the cells
-Butterfly Lavender: acts like a shield to keep water from evaporating while restoring and fortifying the skin's hydrolipidic barrier
-Safflower Oil
-Mango Butter
-Organic Shea Butter
Price: $50

This is the first eye cream the brand has launched in 10 years and, although it's targeted for the 35+ age group, I can't get enough of the stuff. With just a couple of dabs, the skin around my eyes feels instantly cooled and refreshed and looks nice and dewy. A little bit goes a long way so you don't have to use much. It helps to minimize and correct the appearance of wrinkles, add radiance and restore suppleness over time. Key ingredients include:
-Three rose floral waters (Rose, Chamomile and Orange Blossom)
-Cotton Oil
-Organic Cocoa Butter
-Shea Butter
Price: $75

While at the blogger launch event, I thought it was interesting that one of the attendees brought up the fact that most women in the U.S. tend to steer clear of applying oils to their face even though historically (and in other parts of the globe) women have been using oils as a facial moisturizer for centuries. (There's the skin myth that the oils will clog your pores or that if you have oily skin will make your skin even oilier.) I personally have always used oils on my face and body and have never had any problems. In fact, when it comes to surviving the cold winter months here in NY, a little bit of oil can go a long way! This new product has proved to be the perfect way to round out my P.M. skincare regime. Just a couple of drops are enough to restore (and keep) moisture in your skin throughout the night while you sleep; it's non-greasy and has a soothing scent.
Key ingredients include:
-Lavender essential oils: purifies and detoxifies
-Lemon essential oils: brightens and restores the skin's natural radiance
-Cranberry aromatic extract: reinforces the skin barrier with Omega 3, 6 and fatty acids
-Orange Blossom essential oil: soothes the skin from external aggressors
-Chamomile essential oil: limits melanin production to delay the appearance of brown spots
-Carrot essential oil: provides regenerating properties
-Bilberry aromatic extract: uses antioxidants to protect against natural aggressions
Price: $80
