Daisy Lowe Calls Karl Lagerfeld Out in Asos Magazine: "Fashion Needs More Curves"

Daisy Lowe and her adorable curves are giving me everything I need on the cover of Asos Magazine! I need those jeans to survive!!

Inside, she offers some poignant commentary about the fashion industry's love/hate relationship with curves. On Karl Lagerfeld and Crystal Renn, she says: "My friend was working with Crystal Renn and said she thinks she’s only got a 38-inch hip. Karl Lagerfeld said he was going to embrace her womanly shape and then he just put her face on the ad campaign."

I applaud her for speaking out because I was totes thinking the same thing. Since Crystal Renn was chosen as the curvy model muse du jour, it seems said curves have disappeared.

Check out her book cover and her walking in Chanel: where'd her body go? I'm all for dieting and slimming down as one sees fit, but I hate to think she did it to get more work in the modeling industry, especially since designers claimed to love her for her womanly shape.

Do you think Lowe has a point in regard to her face only appearing in Karl's ads? Do you think the designer, who infamously shunned curves, is really embracing womanly figures like he claims?

Discuss, and check out the rest of Lowe's shoot for Asos below:

GET THE LOOK: Mila Kunis' Sexy Smokey Eye At The 2011 People's Choice Awards

Hey Glamazons! If there's one thing in life that I love more than a relaxing mani/pedi sesh, it's a sexy smokey eye. Although I wasn't moved when spotting the usual celebrity culprits rocking the look on the red carpet of last night's People's Choice Awards (ahem Kim Kardashian...yawn...) I gasped when I noticed Mila Kunis' eye makeup looking like this.
Besides the fact that I've give my left big toe to have my very own pair of those thick, perfectly sculpted eyebrows (sigh) you must take note that this look is also a great date night look.
CHANEL Celebrity Makeup Artist Rachel Goodwin gave us the scoop on how she created Mila's look:

"I wanted Mila's makeup to be sophisticated and sultry - like the soft lines and color of her dress. I accentuated her incredible eyes with a very soft earth-tone smoky eye. I started by blending CHANEL Quadra Eyeshadow in Winter Nights and finishing it with CHANEL Fluid Iridescent Eyeshadow in Torrent (a khaki shimmer) on her upper eyelid. I blended a smokey quartz pencil along the inner bottom eye for a bit more intensity. I kept the rest of her face very understated with a soft peach cream blush and a flesh toned gloss, CHANEL Rouge Allure Gloss in Insouciance."

What do you think of this makeup look, Glamazons? And how many of you (like me!) plan on stealing it for yourselves?

Karl Lagerfeld for Macy's: Confirmed!

Another glamazing collaboration to add to the recent wave of masstige collections (Lanvin for H&M and Valentino for Gap)? Karl Lagerfeld for Macy's.

WWD reports that the only man to make me stop breathing in his presence, Kaiser Karl Lagerfeld is penning an affordable ready-to-wear line for Macy's of jeans and party dresses that will be sold online and in 250 Macy's stores starting September 2011. Squeals!

Karl Lagerfeld's collection is part of a new designer initiative that Macy's is launching in 2011 where designers will create masstige collections for their Impulse department rotating every two months. Kinder Aggugini and Matthew Williamson's diffusion lines will precede Karl's.

Though they're late to the high-end/mass retailer party, Macy's will certainly increase sales and cause pandemonium with Karl Lagerfeld on board.

Do tell: are you excited for Karl Lagerfeld's diffusion line? Will you shop the collection? I can only pray these furry boots make an appearance.

Breaking Beauty News: Keira Knightley's New Bobbed 'Do

Hey Glamazons! So, I've finally been able to climb out from underneath my pile of knit clothing and as I scour the net I see this awesome new hair from Keira Knightley. Um, LOVE. (The hair color? Not so much; but then again that's a whole 'nother topic of discussion to be had.) Although she's no stranger to short hair, I think that this look suits her very well. She looks grown-up and sophisticated. I wonder if she got this haircut due to a new movie role that she's filming? Or maybe it's because she's a Chanel gal? (Doesn't she look totally classic Chanel here?!) I'm only saying because it looks so drastically different than the looks that she usually goes for (see Exhibits A, B and C below):

Here she is rocking very pretty (but mainstream) two-toned ringlets...

Now she's all banged out....

And wait! This has got to be a wig, right?! Just because it looks so horrible..and made me laugh. Not because it looked horrible, but because it looked so much like a horribly obvious wig ahahahaha....

So, what do you think of her new haircut, Glamazons!? Do you hate it or love it? Tell me everything in the comments section below.

Saks Fifth Avenue Will Carry Plus-Size Chanel, YSL, Valentino...No, Seriously...

The high-end designer brands that could previously only fit mannequins, and other petite specimens, will now be available in larger sizes at Saks Fifth Avenue, according to Racked.com.

Expect to see designs by Chanel, YSL, Dolce & Gabbbana, Akris, Carolina Herrera, Escada, St. John, Donna Karan, Oscar de la Renta, Max Mara, YSL, Fendi, Roberto Cavalli, Alexander McQueen, Michael Kors and Valentino in...wait for it...wait for it...a size 10! and maybe some 14's! a few 16's!

Even some select designers will stock pieces in sizes up to 20!

Sounds too good to be true? Well, the downside is the quantity, or lack of, as they'll only stock one of each size for certain pieces.

Still, it is a baby step in the right direction.

Will you shop the new plus-size section of Saks?

Red, white and blue styles ruled the runway for Spring and now, celebrities and fashionistas are starting to take notice.

The color combinations are endless from a navy and white striped dress with fierce red lips to a red and navy tunic with denim accessories. Mix and match for a look that is right on trend.

Paris Fashion Week: Chanel's Faux Fur Frenzy

Karl Lagerfeld has named himself the latest spokesperson on Global Warming. His first demonstration for the cause? Chanel's Fall 2010 collection, which was fit for an Ice Queen and her Abominable Snowman, and displayed around a melting iceberg from Sweden.

The freezing weather and sea of melting ice was apropos for a line where almost every piece was shrouded, draped or lined with faux fur. But this isn't just any faux fur collection---this is Coco Chanel on holiday in Aspen.

Tailored tweed suits with fur cuffs, fur-trimmed leather jackets, furry pants, denim jackets with fur collars and shaggy boots are only a few examples of Karl's innovative use of the material. He even ingeniously paired luxurious white fur with an embroidered sheer top for a glorious mix of inner and outerwear. Brilliant!

The collection was peppered with stunning knitwear dresses with patchwork prints and traces of menswear in classic white shirts and ties. Sheer even made an appearance on a turtleneck sweater.

The accessories were fit for the Ice Age as well with ice jewelry and white fur chained purses that provide the perfect compliment to wintry tweeds.

What do you think of the collection? I loved it!

Leave it to Karl Lagerfeld to educate the world about Global Warming...while outfitting us for the current cold. Genius!

Latin fever.

The latin trend is popping up everywhere! Well at Chanel and Jean Paul Gaultier at least...
