GET THE LOOK: Michelle Williams' Luminous Makeup

While my heart didn't skip any beats over that daisy patterned mess of a Valentino dress Michelle Williams rocked tonight at the 2011 Golden Globes, it did once I looked right over it and focused in on her super cute pixie cut and flawless makeup. LOVE!
Just in case you also did the same, I thought it might be good for you to know how you can recreate the look at home for yourself.
Here's what Chanel Makeup Artist Jeanine Lobell had to say about the makeup look she created:

"We were inspired by the classic beauty of Jean Seberg and Mia Farrow. Luminous fresh skin was key, and a super lashed eye gave a nod to those classic beauties. A fresh coral lip kept the look modern and new."

-As a base, Lobell used a new foundation from CHANEL called Vitalumiere Aqua in B10 (available in March 2011). "It's a super light, sheer formula with great coverage," Lobell said.
-For the cheeks, Lobell used CHANEL Powder Blush in Espiegle, which is a shimmery pink-coral.
-For the eyes, Kevyn Aucoin Essential Eye Shadow Palette #2 plus two coats of Kevyn Aucoin Lash Curler Volume Mascara.
-Lobell set her brows with CHANEL Perfect Brows.
-On the lips is CHANEL Rouge Coco Lip Colour in Chalys.

What do you think of Michelle's beauty look, Glamazons?

First Look: Valentino for GAP

While Valentino for GAP isn't a pairing we ever saw coming, we couldn't be happier for the ruffled coats to come out of the collaboration. With its belted waists, dramatic ruffles and soft bows, the collection presents a dichotomy of military chic and feminine flourishes.

In GAP's signature neutral hues, the elaborate ruffled necklines mix Valentino's couture imagination with a down-to-earth, utilitarian style.

Given the embarrassing logo debacle and a slump in sales, it seems GAP could use a boost from the media madness of masstige collections. Because no one can resist basics with a touch of couture!

Atleast that's what Valentino designers, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli, are hoping: "We love mixing different cultures and we have been excited to mix GAP's timeless essentials with our roman culture of Couture," they said. "It brings together the iconic world of Valentino and Gap's fashion staples, synthesizing the current trend of combining luxury with basics."

Available in Milan since November 20th, the seven-piece collection which includes cargo pants and jackets will go on sale November 27th in London.

What do you think of the collection? Do you plan on shopping it UK Glamazons? If you shopped already in Milan, what did you score and how was your experience? And by the way, I'm jealous.

GLAM OR SHAM?: Wedding Weekend: Alicia Keys' Vera Wang Wedding Gown and Tiny's Valentino Wedding Gown

Love, and labels, were in the air this weekend.

As we previously reported, Tiny got married to T.I. in a lavish celebration, one of three scheduled engagements. Her over-the-top, princess Valentino gown did give me a Wow moment minus the chest tattoos (sorry ladies, I just don't love them).

But the embroidered tulle detailing on the bust and ruffles around the bottom of the dress are so gorgeous! Tiny paired it with an elegant diamond necklace and a veil with a crystal headband. She gave long, flowing hair under the veil. Loove! The groom wore an all-white white tux and glasses. Awww.

The bridesmaids wore black strapless dresses with sweetheart necklines and platinum sashes and matching diamond necklaces. Classy and chic.

Alicia Keys also tied the knot with Producer Swizz Beats in a simple, elegant one-shoulder Vera Wang gown that showed off her baby bump.

I love the draping and the silver embroidered detail on the shoulder.

She paired the gown with diamond studs, a beautiful headdress and Christian Louboutins.

The groom wore a pink, ruffled button-down shirt, black bow-tie, Aviator sunglasses, white jacket, black pants and white studded Christian Louboutin shoes. Hmm...ok, what matters is love but Swizz' outfit is giving me Easter Sunday. Yikes.

I DO love that her hair is off her face in an elegant bun. Very pretty!

What do you think of Tiny and Alicia Keys' wedding gowns? Glam or Sham? Do you have a favorite?

Saks Fifth Avenue Will Carry Plus-Size Chanel, YSL, Valentino...No, Seriously...

The high-end designer brands that could previously only fit mannequins, and other petite specimens, will now be available in larger sizes at Saks Fifth Avenue, according to Racked.com.

Expect to see designs by Chanel, YSL, Dolce & Gabbbana, Akris, Carolina Herrera, Escada, St. John, Donna Karan, Oscar de la Renta, Max Mara, YSL, Fendi, Roberto Cavalli, Alexander McQueen, Michael Kors and Valentino in...wait for it...wait for it...a size 10! and maybe some 14's! a few 16's!

Even some select designers will stock pieces in sizes up to 20!

Sounds too good to be true? Well, the downside is the quantity, or lack of, as they'll only stock one of each size for certain pieces.

Still, it is a baby step in the right direction.

Will you shop the new plus-size section of Saks?

Jennifer Aniston Renames (And Launches) New Fragrance

So, this is kind of like the equivalency of having a child, naming it, announcing it's birth, and then (after much thought) deciding that maybe it should have a different name. Which means that you would then have to send out a new set of announcements saying that what you thought was the name wasn't really!
Ok, so I'm not pregnant or having a child (wait, neither is Jennifer Aniston!) but I am talking about her choice to change the name of her fragrance at the last millisecond. It's like the equivalency of the above (you know, the whole having a child scenario that I described).
The 41-year-old actress launched not Lolavie (the fragrance's previous name) but Jennifer Aniston the fragrance.
Yawn.
At least Lolavie was an interesting name, but I guess that the marketing geniuses behind the fragrance decided against it at the last second. This might have been ok if they hadn't already released the news and had it splashed all over the cover of WWD. Ugh.

But, onto the fragrance news: the actress recently launched her signature scent at overseas at Harrods in London wearing a strapless, nude colored mini Valentino dress and sporting some rather sleek tresses. As previously reported here on The Glamazons, us Americans will have to wait until later this year to get our hands on a bottle.
Oh, and did I mention that new shots from advertising are out for it as well? Unsurprisingly, she's topless at the beach in one of her fave spots: Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. I do have to admit that her body is banging, right?!

What do you think of the new name of Jennifer Aniston's fragrance? Don't you think the name LolaVie was much more interesting? Do you think maybe she's hiding something? (I do!) Hmmmmm.....

GLAM OR SHAM?: Sarah Jessica Parker's Terrible Outfit at the Sex and the City II Afterparty

There's no doubt about it. Sarah Jessica Parker stole the show in her yellow Valentino gown and blonde highlighted curls (see her look below). But an outfit change post-movie, pre-afterparty proved a disastrous choice.

The leading lady opted for a black sheer top, bra and full skirt for her second appearance of the night...and well, she looked a disastrous mess.

The outfit was very Britney Spears meets Morticia. From the ill-fitting full skirt to the uncharacteristically low-hanging breasts, Sarah Jessica Parker's second look of the night did little to flatter her. It's more fitted for, I don't know, a stripper's funeral than the 'Sex and the City II' afterparty.

Pretty disappointing, especially considering SJP hit the silver carpet looking like this.

What do we think of SJP's second look of the night? Glam or Sham?

GLAM OR SHAM?: Sarah Jessica Parker Glows in Yellow Valentino at the Sex and the City II Premiere

One-shoulder yellow Valentino! Gold Naeem Khan! Black Carolina Herrera! This red-carpet hotness can only mean one thing: the 'Sex and the City II' premiere is underway.

As I type, fashionable folks are gathering at Radio City Music Hall in NYC to celebrate the premiere of the highly-anticipated film. Though Liza Minelli and even Gabourey Sidibe made appearances, no one worked the red carpet like the fabulous four.

First up is Sarah Jessica Parker. The actress and executive producer channeled Carrie in a resplendent yellow one-shoulder Valentino gown! She paired the look with loose curls and gray roundtoe pumps.

Oh, and she accessorized with her husband (and the star of one of my fave movies, 'Ferris Bueller's Day Off') Matthew Broderick.

What do we think of her look? Glam or a Sham?

Up Close With Valentino Spring 2010 RTW

pictures from style.com
I just love the Valentino Spring 2010 RTW collection. Its so feminine and pretty. Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli did a wonderful job. All of the pieces were so detailed. The organza, lace embroidery, chiffon, and leather were amazing. I especially loved the lace heels. This collection is everything I love. Its elegant, chic, pretty, flowy, and it still has some edge.

Valentino Inspiration

Valentino Spring 2010 RTW model: Hanne Gaby OdieleMy outfit/interpretation
Marc by Marc Jacobs Mirror Heart Evening Bag in gold
This is the outfit that I wore today. The dress is xhilaration from Target, the shoes are black t-strap sandals, the earings are from Maurices, a black lace over cream headband, and the handbag is a Marc by Marc Jacobs Mirror Heart Evening Bag in gold. It reminds me a lot of the Valentino design above. I love the lace and oversize bow. I'm very into lace right now and looking sophisticated but also fun and elegant.
