GLAM OR SHAM?: Rihanna Goes Brunette

Hey Glamazons! Ugh. The winter is officially here in New York and, although I've been trying my hardest to stay bundled up against the snow and fierce winds, I'm still freezing.
In fact, I'm freezing right now! I feel like my old Southern self will never feel warm again. Ever. (OK, that's a serious exaggeration..especially considering the fact that I plan to migrate to some warmer temps over the holiday season tee hee hee.)
I brought up the fact that it's cold to outline the possible theory that maybe, just maybe, that's why Rihanna's been rocking darker hair lately. (By darker, I mean this serious shade of brunette..but wait, wouldn't this only be plausible if she were here in NY?! I think she lives in L.A. But, she's here in NY alot, so my theory could still ring true: cold equates to dark hair).
Whatever the case may be, I have to admit that Rihanna can do no wrong when it comes to her hair color. While others may have been shaking their heads at her fiery shade of red, I actually liked it! I'm a huge advocate that one should have fun with hair, especially when you're that young. (Luckily, her hairstylist Ursula Stephen gets it and manages to create some pretty fierce hairstyles for RiRi.)

So, do you think of Rihanna's dark brown tresses are GLAM or a SHAM? Do you think she looks better with the fiery red?

Rihanna Forever: Check Out A Pic Of Her Wax Figure Here!

It's official: Rihanna has permanently cemented herself into pop culture history.
(Or, at least she waxed herself anyways.)
Madame Tussaud revealed the singer's waxy twin at their Washington D.C. location Tuesday morning and boy does it look really very much like RiRi! I mean, they even got the hair right. (Although I think it would have been way more cooler of they'd decided to showcase her recent red locks instead of the blonde which she ditched eons ago.) The statue, which features RiRi dressed in an all black outfit that I'd give my left kidney to have, is modeled after the outfit she wore to the Balmain show during Paris Fashion Week last October.
What does RiRi think of her statue? According to her Twitter account, she loves it and made it her newest profile picture.
In other non-waxy related RiRi news, the starlet recently made fun of her extremely large forehead by tweeting this pic of a curling burn she just gave herself. I must say, I laughed for about 10 minutes after looking at it...hilarious!
Do you love Rihanna's new wax figure, Glamazons? And don't you think it's funny that she twitpic'd herself with a burnt forehead?! (Hopefully her hairstylist Ursula Stephen had nothing to do with that hahahaha)

WOULD YOU WEAR?: Rihanna's Wing-Sleeved Jumpsuit?

She may never be able to sing like Mariah, or dance like Janet. But no one can hit the red carpet better than Rihanna.

The girl is a neverending, one-woman fashion show, thanks to her incredible stylist, Mariel Haenn (and amazing hairstylist who Ferocia interviewed, Ursula Stephen).

Her latest made-for-runway look? A green jumpsuit with strong shoulders, a plunging neckline and glorious, winged sleeves by Alexandre Vauthier. She wore it to the Echo Awards paired it with nude Louboutins and a new bowl cut.

My opinion? No one would be able to pull this look off like Rihanna. And not just because of her incredible physique, but because she owns each look she wears with confidence.

Other fashionistas might look like a cross between a Leprechaun and Batman in this jumpsuit. Rihanna looks sexy and fashion-forward.

What do you think, Glamazons? Would you be able to pull this look off?

And...though Rihanna was the talk of the Echo Awards red carpet, Ebony Covergirl Sade performed during the show! Check out video of both Sade and Rihanna's performances below:

GLAM OR SHAM?: Rihanna at the Grammys

Now THIS is how you wear a white dress.

Rihanna rescued the white dress trend with an ethereal crepe gown by Elie Saab.

The songstress glows in a high-neck dress that boasts chiffon, stone and feather detailing in the front. The high-neck elongates her statuesque figure and the draping adds a sexy, feminine touch. Finally, the back is open ensuring a lingering second look.

The stunning dress looks elegant and magical on Rihanna, who wears light silver shadow and a pair of Neil Lane earrings and a bracelet to complement the look.

I won't say she looks angelic (if you've heard my favorite song of the moment, Rude Boy, you know she's a bad girl on the inside) but she is a radiant, stunning beauty. And might I add, what a way to come back on top from the ordeal she faced at last year's Grammy's. What do you think, Glamazons? Does she pull this off? Is it the right look for the Grammy's?

Give your verdict: Glam or a Sham?

UPDATE: Glams, we have the secrets to Rihanna's posh, polished hair courtesy of her amazing hairstylist, Ursula Stephens. Here are the steps (and inexpensive products) Ursula used to create Rihanna's winning look:

  • Start by relaxing the hair with Motions Silkening Shine Relaxer.
  • Mold and wrap the hair with Motions Foam Wrap lotion and sit under a hooded dryer.
  • Trim and shape the hair, buzzing the sides and back with a clipper.
  • To get amazing shine and lock each strand in place, add some Motions oil moisturizer along with Suddzz hair spray.
  • Flat iron small sections of the hair in an upward and inward motion.
  • Finally, rub Lanza serum and Motions pomade through the hair and finger comb it for a finished look.

What do you think about the hair? Do you like Rihanna's curly look better? What's your verdict? Glam or a Sham?
