TRY THIS: BareEase & Cream Offers Extra Numbing 'Down Under'

Hey Glamazons! Alright, so maybe I was a little bit "extra" with that title, but it's true: this product was created specifically to numb your "lady parts" in order to create a more comfortable bikini waxing experience for you (and just in time for Valentine's Day!).

I can't even begin to tell you the number of ladies that have come to me complaining about the painfulness of their bikini wax seshes, but I'm sure the creator of this product, Dr. Edna Ma, M.D. (that's her pictured above...isn't she cute!?) hears it even more! (Hence she created this nifty little numbing kit.)

Here's how it works: you simply rub the cream onto the parts that are getting waxed and then put on the rubbery thong underwear. (I know, sounds like a weird material (latex!) but it's not irritating or uncomfortable. I only know because I tried it on myself to see hahaha)
Then, you let the cream sit for about 30-45 minutes and remove. The numbing effect lasts for about 15-20 minutes after the cream is removed, so I suggest that you calculate in the time that it will take you to get to the waxing location so you can remove it there and then hop right onto the table.

Who knew that a pain free waxing experience could be so easy to achieve? You can also use this before laser hair removal sessions as well!

Dr. Ma is a practicing Anesthesiologist and an expert at pain management, so the blue numbing cream formula she created actually really numbs! (I haven't tried it "down there" yet, but it did make the testing area that consisted of the skin on the top part of my hand numb.)
The cream contains Lidocaine, which is the most widely used anesthetic at the maximum of 4% concentration that can sold over-the-counter, as well as aloe and jojoba to soothe and moisturize the skin.

The BareEase & Cream kit retails for $24.99 and comes in two sizes, S/M and M/L. You can purchase it online at barease.com, select spas, salons and boutiques nationwide.

What do you think of this product, Glamazons? Anyone out there dying to get their hands on it? Please do share your experience with the kit here after using it to let me know how it works for you!

TWEET TO WIN IT!: Mizani Supreme Oil

Hey Glamazons! Happy Monday. While it may seem like I've been hiding underneath a rock somewhere, I promise that I actually haven't. (Well, I've kind of been hiding out more at home just to try and get more sleep. It's one of my New Year's resolutions..can you even believe that?!)
Anyways, rewind back to December (and before I decided that I needed to get more sleep haha) where I had the magnificent chance to get a blow out using this amazing hair product called Mizani Supreme Oil. Yes, you may look at this like "Oil? Why would I need to add any of that to my hair?!" but let me tell you, Glamazons, this stuff is amazing and works wonders on all hair types. It's even great as a dry scalp treatment! (You just massage this stuff into your scalp for about 10 minutes, rinse and follow up with your own shampoo.)
Mizani Supreme Oil is free of silicones, mineral oils and preservatives so it won't leave a greasy residue behind on your hair. Other super hero ingredients include: avocado, apricot, olive fruit, sunflower, rice bran, sesame seed, jojoba and Vitamin E. All of this stuff works together to leave your hair soft, smooth and with luminous shine!
While I also like to use this on my wet hair before blowing it out, you can use this afterwards (or daily) as a finishing serum. And this may sound insane, but it also doubles as a great body moisturizer! (Just apply to damp skin right after stepping out of the shower or bath.)
Alright, enough ranting and raving about it! Here's how you can win it: just follow us (@glamazonsblog) on Twitter and RT this post. That easy. We'll pick 4 lucky winners this week to get their very own bottle of this glamazing new product. Did I mention that it cost $25?! Yeah, pretty pricey but it really works. However, you won't have to pay a dime if you participate in this giveaway so get to tweeting! Good luck!

GLAM OR SHAM?: Lauren Conrad's New Brunette Locks

I have to say that I've been so caught up in the hoopla of organizing my life (yes it's one of my New Year's resolutions..to be better organized) that I almost didn't notice that Lauren Conrad dyed her hair brown! Yes, no longer is she that sane blondie from The Hills. (Because we all recognize that Heidi Montag is totally the crazy blondie from The Hills.) Does this mean that she's finally displaced herself from the rest of the cast? I totally realize that The Hills isn't even relevant anymore (it's all about Snooki, J-Wow and Sammie from The Jersey Shore..duh..) but it seems that it's like the end of a tweenage era now that she's no longer blonde. Like Lauren's finally growing up to become a celebrity in her own right.
Or maybe I'm just reading too much into this and what really happened is that she just got bored and one day decided to dye her hair. Nothing less and nothing more. Sigh. Whatever the case, she seems to be doing better than her other former cast members. Side note: have you read those stories about Speidi in the tabloids about how they now live in the guest house at Spencer's parents' house?! Hot mess.
On a purely beauty note, I vote this new hair color on Lauren GLAM. It makes her look older and more mature, but in a totally good way. What do you think, Glamazons?

GLAM OR SHAM?: Rihanna Goes Brunette

Hey Glamazons! Ugh. The winter is officially here in New York and, although I've been trying my hardest to stay bundled up against the snow and fierce winds, I'm still freezing.
In fact, I'm freezing right now! I feel like my old Southern self will never feel warm again. Ever. (OK, that's a serious exaggeration..especially considering the fact that I plan to migrate to some warmer temps over the holiday season tee hee hee.)
I brought up the fact that it's cold to outline the possible theory that maybe, just maybe, that's why Rihanna's been rocking darker hair lately. (By darker, I mean this serious shade of brunette..but wait, wouldn't this only be plausible if she were here in NY?! I think she lives in L.A. But, she's here in NY alot, so my theory could still ring true: cold equates to dark hair).
Whatever the case may be, I have to admit that Rihanna can do no wrong when it comes to her hair color. While others may have been shaking their heads at her fiery shade of red, I actually liked it! I'm a huge advocate that one should have fun with hair, especially when you're that young. (Luckily, her hairstylist Ursula Stephen gets it and manages to create some pretty fierce hairstyles for RiRi.)

So, do you think of Rihanna's dark brown tresses are GLAM or a SHAM? Do you think she looks better with the fiery red?

GLAM OR SHAM?: Alicia Keys' Pompadour Beehive Hair 'Do

Hey Glamazons! Ugh. To say that I'm exhausted is a serious understatement. I know, I know, I've been saying that a lot lately...but it's true! A woman needs some sleep!
However, before I hit the hay, I must get your opinion on this hair 'do Alicia Keys is rocking.
Can anyone explain to me exactly what this even is?! I mean, as you know, I'm all about a pretty updo but this is..ahem...kind of out there. Of course, Alicia looks gorge (as always) but I wonder what exactly her inspiration was for creating this look.
Does anyone else want to copy it?! Let's talk about it in the comments section below.

GET THE LOOK! Katy Perry's Flowing Waves At The 2010 American Music Awards

Alright, I know it seems like I've been talking about Katy Perry a lot these days (I'm even wearing her new fragrance Purr right now as I type this) but I assure that I'm totally not a STAN.
I just happen to really like her style plus she's like the cutest girl in America right now. She's totally my girl crush of the moment! (Right before her it was Kim Kardashian, but I'm not feeling the shape that her face is starting to morph into since she keeps getting all of that plastic surgery..ew.)

And, speaking of style, Katy's was right on point at last night's American Music Awards!
I loved the naturally peachy pink look she rocked on the red carpet and those lush lashes were definitely giving me life. However, it's her flowing, wavy locks that give her that pretty-girl-next-door look I so adore.
Lucky for her, she had the amazing Pantene Celebrity Stylist Danilo sculpting her locks. (He's also Gwen Stefani's go-to hair guy..love him!)
According to Danilo, Katy's look last night on the red carpet was "classic Hollywood with a contemporary twist." For the show, she wanted to have "big, voluminous hair," so Danilo said he used products from Pantene's Fine Collection to give her long lasting volume.
Here's Danilo's step-by-step guide on you can get Katy's look:

- “Before doing any hair style, I always encourage my clients to wash and condition their hair—that way I can start with a clean, healthy base. I recommend beginning with the Pantene Pro-V Fine Flat to Volume Shampoo and Conditioning regimen, the customized formula gently cleanses hair to help remove dulling residue and build up while replenishing from root to tip.”

- “Before blow-drying, I applied a light mist of the Pantene Pro-V Fine Heat Protection & Shine Spray to Katy’s hair. This helps to protect hair against heat while providing a soft, healthy-looking finish.”

-“Next, I sprayed each section with the Pantene Pro-V Fine Hair Root Lifter Spray Gel, this provides weightless volume that is full of long lasting body and shine. After her hair was prepped, I blew out the hair, creating volume from the base of the strands.”

-“Using a medium curling iron, I created a spiral glamour set on each section of the hair and sprayed it with the Pantene Pro-V Touchable Volume Hairspray. Then each curl was pinned up and left to cool.“

-“Once I took the curls out, I used a glamour set where I brushed the curls out so the wave pattern revealed itself, opposed to hair being tousled. This gives a glamorous look to the hair. What I love about this look is that the wave is at the bottom, opposed to a retro look were the hair is curled under.”

AND (most importantly) check out her awesome performance from last night!

The Exact, Precise New Haircut Ferocia Wants For Fall 2010

You know, as soon as the weather gets a bit cooler, I start itching for change; and no, I'm not talking about money (although that would be really nice if someone volunteered spice up my otherwise dour and pitiful bank account.) I'm talking about my beauty look...more precisely? My hair.
I realize that it probably makes absolutely no sense to cut your hair even shorter when it gets cold outside, but that's exactly what I want to do. (I tend to rock a shoulder length bob or extensions in the spring and summer....which is probably when I should really be wearing it shorter. Weird, right?!)
The last time it was cold outside, I got it cut into this style by hair guru Ted Gibson.
However, while perusing through some celebrity photos I found this picture of actress Carey Mulligan (from a special screening event held Tuesday night for the film Never Let Me Go) and have decided that this is the exact, precise haircut that I want to have for the fall season. It's cute, fun and I like the little bit of wave that she has in it. I also happen to think that the color is perfect! (Her glamazing smudgy smoky eye and perfectly groomed brows are also giving me life at this exact moment as well.)
So, what do you think, Glamazons? Should I take the plunge and go for this cut?!

Agyness Deyn's New Hair

Ok, so I know this is old news but I just have to post something about it. I remember a little while back I was looking at magazines and saw a picture of Agyness Deyn with Black hair and I was like NOOOO!!! She still looks absolutely stunning but I loved the platinum look much better, but thats just my opinion. She's always so stylish and has such an interesting face. She's definitely one of my favorite models.
