If only we could ALL get our hands on that elixir of eternal youth that actress Demi Moore drinks from! Sigh. She looked absolutely ravishing in a dusty rose colored Versace gown and her clean, classic makeup look was the epitome of elegance.

Celebrity makeup artist Jo Strettell (for Lancome) shares how he created the look:

-Mix two Giorgio Armani foundations (Luminous Silk Foundation and Lasting Silk UV SPF 34 Compact Foundation)

-Sweep YSL Touche Eclat under the eyes and around the nose

-Apply Lancome's Blush Subtil in Rose Fresque on the apples of the cheeks to brighten the complexion

-For the soft smokey eye, use Lancome Color Design Eye in Ciel du Soir on the lids and Color Design Eye in Honeymoon as a highlight from right above the lid to the brow bone and on the inner corner of the eyes

-Line eyes with Lancome's Le Crayon Kohl in Gris Noir and soften by smudging the line

-Curl lashes with Shu Uemura lash curler and follow with several coats of Lancome's Hypnose Drama in Excessive Black on the top lashes and Oscillation Mascara in Black on the lower lashes

-For lips, combine Lancome's L'Absolu Rouge in Rich Cashemere and Juicy Tubes in Spring Fling for a pretty, nude look

The Glamazons' Picks for Worst Dressed at the 2010 Oscars

While some celebs brought glitz and glam to the red carpet, others showed up looking a disastrous mess. There were several risks that just didn't pay off on the Oscars Red Carpet last night from Zoe's walking bathroom rug to Charlize's flower boobs. Here are just a few fashion faux pauxs that turned heads last night---in a bad way.


Zoe Saldana looked like a walking pinata. I wonder if Starbursts will fall out if we shake her dress. #Fail.

Miley Cyrus' ill-fitting corset top could easily be found at Forever 21. Not red carpet material, literally. #Fail

Charlize Theron's rosette breasts are just distracting and odd. And incidentally, they do nothing to enhance her figure. #Fail

I tried to defend it, but Ferocia is not a fan of Jennifer Lopez' Armani Prive wedding, I mean, Oscars gown. Yes, it's great to see she hasn't lost that curvy figure, but next time, don't drape it in bubble wrap and call that a dress. #Fail

I don't know whether to love or hate this Marchesa dress on Vera Farmiga. On one hand, the ruffles are striking and very avante garde. On the other, they're intense and attention-grabbing, just not for the right reasons.

The Glamazons' Picks for Best-Dressed at the 2010 Oscars

The glitz! The glamour! The fashions!

We live for the Oscars red carpet each season as it's way more entertaining than the actual show. Sure, winning an Oscar for your screenplay or performance is the ultimate goal (my favorite moments were Kathyrn Bigelow's historic win for Best Director and Geoffrey Fletcher's win for Best Adapted Screenplay! Yay for amazingness behind-the-scenes).

But at the Glamazons, we feel Oscars should be handed out for the best fashions as well. Choosing the right dress, makeup, accessories and hair is no easy feat, and excellence in this regard should never go unnoticed. These five beauties below wowed us on the red carpet and totally deserve recognition. Check out our picks!

I swear Sandra Bullock knew she would win the award for Best Actress. How else can one explain this stunning, gold gown by Marchesa? The shimmery, form-fitting number hugged her curves (who knew she had such a great body?!) in the most beautiful, elegant way possible. Bullock topped it off with a sassy bright lip.

Gabourey Sidibe's brilliant blue Marchesa dress flattered her figure, and made her look more feminine than ever.

Rachel McAdams channeled Spring in an ethereal, watercolor print gown by Elie Saab. Stunning!

Finally, ruffles done right! Elizabeth Banks was a radiant beauty in a Versace gown in Fall's color du jour, gray. The soft, cascading ruffles offered a feminine touch to her structured bodice. A crystal headband and diamond studs provided the perfect accent.

Nicole Richie supported her man who DJ'ed the event, Joel Madden, in a metallic Reem Acra gown with an open back and dramatic train. I'm all for a fresh look on the Red Carpet, and Richie delivered just that by channeling 70's Hollywood glamour.

GLAM OR SHAM?: Mo'Nique at the 2010 Oscars

The big winner for her incredible role in Precious, Mo'Nique chose a blue, Grecian Tadashi Shoji dress for the 2010 Oscar's.

The elegant dress boasted criss-cross ruching (super-flattering!) and an asymmetric neckline. Mo'Nique completed the look with a white clutch, diamond jewelry and a white flower in her hair.

Not a fan. I thought the dress was safe, and the shape did little to flatter Mo'Nique. She could've benefited from a dress with an elaborate neckline (to fill out her bust) and gathered waist.

The long hemline though did spare us from another look at Mo'Nique's hairy legs. Sidenote: I can't begin to tell you how many people call me asking if The Magazine forgot to airbrush Monique's hairy legs. LOL. She doesn't shave her legs or underarms as a rule. Since I'm over trying to understand why, I'm going to move on to the bigger question: Why is her husband's bowtie upside down? Is that a fashion statement or were they rushing? Someone explain.

Anyway, I must say the color looked exquisite against Mo'Nique's glowing skin, though nothing can beat the glow of that gold Oscar!

GLAM OR SHAM?: Jennifer Lopez at the 2010 Oscars

Jennifer Lopez may not have appeared in a single movie nominated for an Oscar last night, but she nailed the role of Glamorous Ice Queen in an elaborate Armani Prive gown on the red carpet.

The sculptured gown included a fold at the bustine, gathered fabric at the hip and radiant sparkles all over. Subtle makeup and a messy bun complimented the look. Jewelry was simple and flattering with a diamond ring, bracelet and larger-than-life studs.

I'm on the fence. I love a Princess gown (too many Disney movies as a child) but many thought the dress looked like bubble wrap when she walked and was too similar to a wedding gown.

I think she's looks stunning. My only gripe? She could've used a tan as the white against her pale skin made her look somewhat washed out (see: Eva Mendes at the Golden Globes last year for the look done right). Oh and that brings me to another complaint. Haven't we seen this look before?

Sure, it's reminiscent of Eva, but it also resembled Amanda Seyfried who wore a gown by the same designer...on the same night. That can't be a good thing.

GLAM OR SHAM?: Gabourey Sidibe at the 2010 Oscars

Gabourey Sidibe finally got it right...with the help of Marchesa.

The look was romantic and feminine, complimented by soft, cascading waves, full lashes and diamond drop earrings. The dress was a stunning, brilliant blue which complimented Gabourey's dark skin perfectly. It was adorned with sparkling floral embellishments on the bust and waistline. Beautiful!

The silhouette is what I loved the most. The empire waist was beyond flattering on Gabourey (finally!!!). It created a waistline and balanced out her top-heavy torso. The strapless top elongated her neck while the draped sleeves camouflaged the meatiest part of her arms. Just brilliant!

I'm thrilled that several fashion designers stepped up for the chance to dress the unconventional beauty---and even happier that Marchesa was chosen. Gabourey's look at the Oscars proved that everyone can look ravishing with the right silhouette!

GLAM OR SHAM?: Zoe Saldana at The 2010 Oscars

Glamour and ESSENCE Magazine Covergirl, Zoe Saldana, traded in Avatar blue for a stunning purple Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci dress at the 2010 Oscar's.

While the sparkly bodice of the gown lit up Zoe's glowing skin, the purple light-to-dark tiered ruffles were extravagant and distracting---resembling something of a bathroom rug. The top and bottom of the dress weren't cohesive, either, and almost seemed like two different dresses were sewn together.

Furthermore, the ruffles seemed to weigh down Zoe's small frame. The tiers looked like they were swallowing her from the bottom up.

The dress did little to take away from Zoe's beauty, though. She looked strikingly gorgeous with an updo pulled off her face and sultry smoky eyes (click here for tips on how to get the look).

For Zoe's hair, hairstylist Mara Roszak (for TRESemme) said that she didn't want to take away from the dress, so she created an "elegant but effortless editorial look."

Follow these steps to re-create the look at home:

-Apply TRESemmé Naturals Lightweight Mousse all over damp hair and blow dry away from the face with volume, flipping head upside down when the hair is almost dry to finish.

-Separate the crown from the rest of the hair and pull back sides and back into a tight ponytail. Pull the hair almost all the way through, leaving the ends tucked into the pony tail holder to create a half bun shape. Let a few pieces in the back fall out for a messier look.

-Tease the top of the hair, pull back to meet the back and pin, criss-crossing the bobby pins for a secure hold. Spray all over with TRESemmé TRES TWO Two Hair Spray.

-My Stylist Secret: Spray hairspray on finger tips and gently pull the hair around the face with your fingers to loosen the hair, giving it an organic effortless look.

GET THE LOOK: Queen Latifah at the 2010 Oscars

Forever regal, Queen Latifah wowed us last night in a lavender custom made gown by Badgley Mischka.

Equally gorgeous was that soft, plum colored smokey eye! Makeup artist D'Andre Michael (for CoverGirl) shares how he created Queen's makeup look:

"I used a foundation brush to apply CoverGirl Queen Collection Natural Hue Liquid Makeup in Warm Caramel and set it with CoverGirl Queen Collection Natural Hue Minerals Pressed Powder in Brown Bronze.

For Queen Latifah’s eyes, I started by applying CoverGirl Queen Collection Natural Hue Minerals Pressed Powder in Brown Bronze to the brow bone. I do this to achieve a more natural look to the brow bone. Secondly, I used CoverGirl Smoky ShadowBlast in Purple Plume on the entire lid from the lash line to the inner crease. I then used CoverGirl Smoky ShadowBlast in Onyx Smoke in the inner crease to blend up on the brow bone. For depth and intensity, I used CoverGirl Outlast Smoothwear All Day Eyeliner in Onyx on the inner bottom eyelid. To give lashes the oomph that most women crave, I applied CoverGirl LashBlast Length Waterproof Mascara in Very Black.
For Queen Latifah’s lips, I wanted to compliment the plum eye by doing a beautiful mauve lip to balance out the various purple hues of the entire look. To start I used a base coat of MAC Lipstick in Midimauve and then lined her lips with Kevyn Aucoin Flesh Tone Lip Pencil in Deep. I recommend rubbing your lips together after lining lips to blend the line. I added luster and shine to Queen’s lips by applying a dab of CoverGirl ShineBlast Lip Gloss in Aglow.

To complete Queen’s look, I used Cargo Blush in Siena on the apples of her cheekbones for a hint of color and glow. To complete the overall look I used CoverGirl Queen Collection Natural Hue Minerals Bronzer in Brown Bronze for a soft and subtle glow on her upper cheekbones, forehead, nose, neck and collar bone."

GET THE LOOK: Paula Patton at the 2010 Oscars

It could be that pretty pregnancy glow, but whatever it is, actress Paula Patton looked stunning last night in an orange Carolina Herrera gown at the 82nd Annual Academy Awards ceremony.

Makeup artist Mylah Morales (for CoverGirl) shares how she created Patton's makeup look:

"For Paula Patton’s Oscar beauty look, I started by applying Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil to clean up her skin and create an ideal canvas for foundation application.

Next I applied Giorgio Armani Foundation and set the foundation with a sheer layer of CoverGirl Queen Collection Natural Hue Minerals Pressed Powder followed by CoverGirl Queen Collection Natural Hue Minerals Bronzer for a gorgeous, bronze glow.

To accentuate and enhance Paula’s stunning orange dress, I focused on gold and brown shades for her eyes. I applied gold powder shadow in the corners of her eyes followed by a layer of CoverGirl Smoky ShadowBlast in Bronze Fire over her lid for a gorgeous red carpet eye look. I completed her eye look with a few swipes of CoverGirl LashBlast Length Mascara for dramatic, ultra-long lashes.

For Paula’s lips, I kept them pretty natural and used a peachy shade of gloss that matched her natural lipcolor. To complete Paula’s overall look I applied NARS Blush in Taj Mahal followed by Shu Uemura Facial Hydration Mist to lock-in Paula’s makeup and help it last her through the night."
