GLAM OR SHAM?: January Jones in Carolina Herrera at the 2011 Screen Actors Guild Awards
Now THIS is a red-carpet worthy look. January Jones wowed everyone at the Sag Awards in a black and gold lace Carolina Herrera mermaid gown.
Ladylike, regal and exquisite, the gown highlighted January's amaze figure without being too over-the-top or racy (a la her Versace dress at The Golden Globes).
Paired with a beautiful blonde updo and shimmery gold makeup, January was the picture of elegance last night. Old Hollywood glamour wins over swimsuit siren any day---well, maybe just at Awards Shows.
What do you think of her look? Glam or Sham? I think it's everything and more.

GLAM OR SHAM?: January Jones is Red-Hot in Versace at the 2011 Golden Globes
We all know January Jones has no problem showing off her hot body (does her busty GQ cover ring a bell?) but no matter how hot one's assets are, there is really no excuse for dressing this way for The Golden Globes.
The actress wore a red Versace gown that looked like a one piece bikini worn under a fringe skirt. Straps of fabric covering your golden globes does not say glamour to me, at all.
January paired her look with a Versace clutch patent leather pumps and satin clutch and old Hollywood classic waves and red lips.
What do you think of her risque' dress? Glam or Sham?

GLAM OR SHAM?: Angelina Jolie in Versace at the 2011 Golden Globes
Golden Globes madness! After gathering all the fashion credits for a superamazing News Site, I can finally chat with you guys about my opinion on the night's look.
Some were crazy (Helena Bonham-Carter in Vivienne Westwood with two different color shoes!) and some were just breathtaking. Angelina Jolie gets one of my stunning awards for the night.
The actress, who seems to always be dressed in black, went for color (green - one of the night's trends!) and sequins this time around in a dazzling Versace gown. Living for what the high neckline and gathered waist does to her silhouette.
Her best accessory, Brad Pitt, wore Tom Ford.
What do you guys think? A Glam Slam, or a Sham?

GLAM OR SHAM?: Cassie Wears Versace to MET Gala and Laquan Smith to the Afterparty
No matter your opinion of Cassie, there's one thing you can't deny. She is beautiful.
The self-proclaimed pioneer of the shaved head craze showed up to the MET Gala in a Versace stunner. The skin-tight blue dress boasted an artful cutout neckline and a dangerously high slit. She paired the look with black stilettos and striking diamond jewelry.
I think the funky neckline of the dress compliments Cassie's equally funky hairstyle (a shaved head AND color? a bit much). It was a fitting choice as I was worried about how her hair would translate at a formal, red-carpet event.
Her afterparty ensemble was designed by a Glamazon favorite, Laquan Smith. Cassie wore his sparkling, metallic minidress which matched her caramel-hued locks perfectly. She kept her black clutch but went for the gold in some metallic pointy toe pumps.
Here's the dress on Glamazon favorite, Sessilee Lopez from Laquan Smith's Fall 2010 lookbook.
What do you think of Cassie's looks, Glamazons? Glam or a Sham?

The Glamazons' Picks for Best-Dressed at the 2010 Oscars
The glitz! The glamour! The fashions!
We live for the Oscars red carpet each season as it's way more entertaining than the actual show. Sure, winning an Oscar for your screenplay or performance is the ultimate goal (my favorite moments were Kathyrn Bigelow's historic win for Best Director and Geoffrey Fletcher's win for Best Adapted Screenplay! Yay for amazingness behind-the-scenes).
But at the Glamazons, we feel Oscars should be handed out for the best fashions as well. Choosing the right dress, makeup, accessories and hair is no easy feat, and excellence in this regard should never go unnoticed. These five beauties below wowed us on the red carpet and totally deserve recognition. Check out our picks!
I swear Sandra Bullock knew she would win the award for Best Actress. How else can one explain this stunning, gold gown by Marchesa? The shimmery, form-fitting number hugged her curves (who knew she had such a great body?!) in the most beautiful, elegant way possible. Bullock topped it off with a sassy bright lip.
Gabourey Sidibe's brilliant blue Marchesa dress flattered her figure, and made her look more feminine than ever.
Rachel McAdams channeled Spring in an ethereal, watercolor print gown by Elie Saab. Stunning!
Finally, ruffles done right! Elizabeth Banks was a radiant beauty in a Versace gown in Fall's color du jour, gray. The soft, cascading ruffles offered a feminine touch to her structured bodice. A crystal headband and diamond studs provided the perfect accent.
Nicole Richie supported her man who DJ'ed the event, Joel Madden, in a metallic Reem Acra gown with an open back and dramatic train. I'm all for a fresh look on the Red Carpet, and Richie delivered just that by channeling 70's Hollywood glamour.
Who else should have made our list? Do you agree with our top picks for best-dressed? Discuss.

Milan Fashion Week
Fierce & Edgy
Versace Fall 2010 RTW

pictures from style.com
This collection was with no doubt fierce. It took edge to the extreme all while keeping it chic. From short skirts with long coats to biker pants, this collection was strong and tough and feminine at the same time. Personally, I loved it.

GLAM OR SHAM?: J.Lo at The Grammys

We think J. Lo looks amazing; but sadly only from the neck up. This Versace dress does nothing to flatter her gorge figure and we just can't figure out why it's shorter on the sides. We're all for a netted dress and halter top neckline, but this one is just too much of a hot mess for us to swallow.
What do we think Glamazons? Glam or a sham?
